I'll try and at least add some good news on one of these teams. The Suns are in the race for the 1st overall pick and the Lakers continue to shoot themselves in the foot making one of their draft picks sent over to Phoenix this season looking pretty decent right now.

Then again, none of thise means **** if Sarver isn't going to do anything right with them.

You guys can always become Dolphins fans!

In other Arizona sports news, Suns lost again the Milwaukee tonight. Seriously, I know the organization said they have a plan, but what is their plan?

Kendall Marshall, their top draft pick, who I assume down the road they expect him to be the controller of the offense down the road, has only played in 11 games this season, averaging less than 5 minutes per game.

I'm not saying he should be playing a bunch in his first year, but we are obviously not in contention to make the playoffs. Are they that worried that he will get discouraged by not being productive, and will most likely make mistakes out there, that they don't play him? This is the kind of season you want to play the future talent, just so they get NBA experience, and sit down with them after a game and go over what they did, what they did wrong, and how to learn from that.

I could be way off, but I want to see him in more and learn by experience, not by watching a losing team.

I honestly have no idea what their plans are down the road at this point though.

Oh, and Diamondbacks, who knows this year. F the Dodgers for wanting to be the Yankees of the West.

That's the problem. What is their plan forward with this team?!

Run the team into the ground 3-4 years straight, pray for a generational talent and lottery picks. That is the only way to get out out the mediocre pack and actually win consistently. Sarver will probably be forced to sell the team if they continue to lose fans.

Coyotes time to shine is now.

If that's the case, I'll root for the Suns to suck so he has to sell the team.

Won't hurt. Sarver is the issue, IMHO.

Doesn't make sense. Gentry is doing just fine with what he is working with, every year for that matter. Coach is the easiest thing to change, that's all.

A team with Shannon Brown and Jared Dudley getting starters minutes is not gonna get many wins. I don't care if Phil Jackson is the coach. Those guys could be solid 6-8 guys, but not 30+ min a game.

Sucks to lose him, but glad he went to Cleveland, and glad he is not a HC.

30 minutes away from UofA/ASU basketball game. I just hope ASU puts up a good fight. I mean hell, they nearly beat Oregon. Going to be a great atmosphere, I wish I was going to the game.

There are some important ASU football recruits here this weekend attending that game. Hopefully it's a great one.

That place exploded after the dunk from the turnover. Good start so far.

The upper level student section is only 30% full and I see a few rows with no one in them. I heard it was a sellout too so I am surprised.

Cards New HC crying ten seconds into his press conference. Bizarre church sermon follows. This seems like the quintessential Cardinals decision already. Haha. Get some popcorn, this **** is gonna be good.

Oh and of course Horton jumped ship from this train wreck so that leaves the Coyotes as the only team that's even worth paying attention to in this town.

Sarver managed to piss off Majerle, who quit:

Quote:
Majerle said he believes the interview process to replace former head coach Alvin Gentry was a charade because he thinks General Manager Lance Blanks already had settled on Hunter over the assistant coaches.

“It’s been a hard pill to swallow,” Majerle said. “The first thing that disappoints me is usually in a situation like this, the lead assistant gets the job and that is Elston (Turner) with his 14 years of experience. Once he didn’t get it, I thought I deserved it. The thing I keep hearing management say on the radio is that hiring me would’ve been the popular and easy thing to do. I earned it. I deserved a shot if it’s not going to be Elston. I coached 5 ˝ years. I coached the summer leagues. I didn’t need a favor. Picking Elston would’ve been the easy thing to do.”

Majerle told the team he did not want to return as an assistant under Hunter and received his full salary while Turner is still weighing his future, although he has not participated in the past three practices and did not join the team for Hunter’s first game as coach Wednesday night in Sacramento.

“They talk about integrity,” Majerle said. “To skip over two qualified people didn’t make sense. They chose Lindsey, a guy not even on the coaching staff and who they told us was only there to help us. I think they had their minds made up already before the interviews. I was going to lay low and not comment but I heard people from the organization get on the radio and say I would’ve been the popular and easy thing to do and that’s a slap in the face.”

Martin Prado!!!!

The Braves also acquired third baseman Chris Johnson in a six-player deal that cost them young starter Randall Delgado, versatile veteran Martin Prado and prospects Nick Ahmed and Zeke Spruill. Ahmed, a 22-year-old shortstop, was a second-round pick in 2011; Spruill, a 23-year-old right-hander, was a second-round pick in 2008.

So a solid but unspectacular( in every sense of the cliche) third basemen, who is relatively young but fairly experienced with six-ish seasons in the bigs, and an ASG under his belt. Plus a good pitching prospect who's probably ready for spot in the rotation and then a couple of long shot, boom or bust prospects (one pitcher and one middle infielder).

Kind of reminds me of an HFboards trade proposal.
