And then some thought this lockout would make fans leave hockey.
Even in Pittsburgh, they went to full capacity.
Yep. There may be more baseball and/or football fans in North America than hockey fans.

But hockey fans are the most die-hard of them all.

How did Armstrong bourque and kaberle look? Hoping for bounce back seasons by them...

Armstrong somewhat invisible, but understanbly so as friendly scrimmage ain't what he's good at

Kaberle was a tad soft on the defensive side, but looked awake and in shape. Good job in the O zone and clever shot for goal on the PP.

Bourque was energic, moved his ass a lot and seemed to click we'll with Eller. He seems determined to bounce from an underwhelming season.

Armstrong didn't do much but I was surprised at how he handles the puck. Did some quick stop and turns. Looks more skilled than I thought. Really hope he can be effective.

Agreed, but "handling the puck well" is not the most important thing for a 4th liner. I am happy they have the skill to convert their grit into scoring chances, but it's for naught if the grit is missing.

Looking forward to see him and Prust v. Toronto.

The.bottom six is heavy as hell this year.

He needs to stay healthy. That was the #1 concern when he was playing in Toronto. He can be good, especially playing in the bottom six.

On rds yesterday on tv they were talking about how heavy is the 3rd line. They showed their height and weight and Iw as surprise.

Bourque was the only one at 6'2'' 215 pounds

Eller and Moen were 6'0'' and around 200 pounds

But I always tought Eller and Moen were 6'2'' too

I guess RDS made a mistake, wouldnt be the first time haha

Yeah, all 3 are 6'2.

Cuts will be made before practice today. I think practice is still at 10, so probably between 8:30-9:30 ?

When you send a player back to Hamilton (Blunden) is it possible to just cancel that the next morning? (not saying we should, just a technical question).

All indications are that Jarred Tinordi is heading back to AHL. Made great impression. Toughest decision for staff IF he is cut. NHL ready.

Sounds like Tinordi had a really good camp, best for him to finish the year in the AHL and continue to keep improving.

Puck possession is like 50% of a 4th liner's job.

Was at the Bell Center last night. Galchenyuk was floating and waiting for the puck all game long. He had a nice goal in the shootout. Wasn't impressed.

The players that stood out the most :

- Pacioretty and Gorges were going at each other. Nice determination from them as usual.

- The best player on the ice was Desharnais. This guy has crazy vision and hockey sense.

- Gallagher, Tinordi and Dumont were the best bulldogs.

Most veterans were on practice mode. All in all, it was fun to watch some hockey even if the game wasn't the most entertaining. Shootouts were the best part of the night.

He should stay in MTL if he's better then Diaz Kaberle or Bouillon......

I believe so.

Blunden wasn't sent down yesterday though. Only put on waivers. We can keep him for our opening day roster today if we want too.

And Louis Jean is wrong, Tinordi is NOT 'NHL ready'. Fairly close though.

Diaz looked good indeed. Wasn't a fan last season, but look like he progressed. His best moments were on the PP obviously.
