More of a Rockette style. You know, with the high leg kick.

We'd at least have to throw in Spiller, too.

To OTT:
Nagy
'06 8th overall
Spiller

To PHX:
Havlat
'06 28th overall
Phillips

Ottawa has alot of very good right wings and not alot of very good left wings. Nagy is a very good left wing and Havlat is a very good right wing. Ottawa hasn't had a top ten pick in some time, and probably won't have one again for some time. There should be a very good prospect on the board at the eight spot. Spiller is younger than Phillips and has alot of promise. Even with the cap going up, Ottawa probably won't be able to sign Wade Redden and Zdeno Chara, without cutting some payroll. Nagy should make at least a million less than Havlat, and Spiller probably makes a only a quarter of what Phillips does.

The biggest problem, aside from the fact that you were clearly joking , and the fact that Ottawa fans probably feel they'd be getting ripped off , is that Phoenix can't work anything out with Elias prior to the draft. If they traded Nagy for Havlat, and were unable to agree to terms with Elias, they would be screwed. Our left wing depth would be Sjostrom, Saprykin, Nash, and Gratton!

I'd be happy if everything worked out, but there is no way this could happen. Which explains the , I guess.

Ottawa had the 9th overall pick last year and drafts very well late. We don't need to make that trade.

You don't think the $6mil cap increase, and the $2-$3mil. you save on this deal puts you in a much better position to sign Redden and Chara? Or is Havalt more important? Do you expect one of Alfredsson, Heatley, or Havlat to swith to LW?

#1 Heatley played LW for us last season

#2 That trade involves Ottawa trading 2 NHL players for 1. Our defense is already extremely young, we don't need more young defenseman.

#1. Oh. I didn't really follow the NHL too closely last season, outside of my own team.

#2. Redden and Phillips. Volchenkov has got to be 25 or 26, with a few years experience. There's some vets, there.
