I'm so confused

-No Jonathan Banks in the 1st round
-No Barret Jones in the 1st round
-Montee Ball in the 1st round?
-Eifert AND Ertz in the 1st round?

Obviously I should read more on prospects; I was under the assumption all of Ball, Eifert, and Ertz were likely second round players at minimum.

Steelers took Reinstra 9th in 1986.

But not 100% certain on labeling him a guard.

Robert Gallery was taken 2nd by the Raiders, after a year not cutting it at tackle, moved in to G.

Leonard Davis played T at Texas, but was projected by just about everyone as being a G in the pros because he was so slow and massive.

Reinstra pretty sure was a G coming out of school and projected to G in the pros...before his career never really happened.

never heard of Reinstra, must have been a huge bust lol

Gallery was drafted to be a LT. Pretty sure Davis was drafted to be a tackle as well

just wondering, that was the first mock that i saw Warmack that high and thought it was odd

Davis was a tackle who was drafted as a guard. Everyone knew he'd be put inside.

Reinstra was a little bit nutty back before it was cool to be nutty. I'm no doctor, but I guess he'd have been diagnosed OCD if such things got diagnosed back then like they do now.

Yeah...I don't think there was ever more than a passing thought he'd play T in the pros.

Out of Temple...I mean what could go wrong taking a guy, at #9, from Temple

One thing I do like about Rienstra...and Gabe Rivera (Steelers DL taken in the first round of 1983, and immediately got in a drunk driving accident, becoming paralyzed)...they were the quirky/problem child players of the mid 80's.

To hear yinzers wax nostalgic how Tomlin has no control of his team, and should be fired, and Cowher as well during his tenure, never remeber these things.

Coaches can not and never will control what players are doing outside of practices and Sunday afternoons.

Prior to all this news I was a big supporter of taking Te'o in the first if he were available.

Now I'm not so sure. I don't think I want to hear all the Ben ***** Te'o's invisible gf jokes.

Although some might be funny.

Bruce Arians hired as Cardinals coach. Oh look, another former Steeler employee in the Cardinals organization now.

Them Cardinal fans are funny.

"Haley sucks keep him in Pittsburgh, we don't want him".

"Fire Ken Whisenhunt, he's sucks".

Cardinals hire Bruce Arians.

"YES! We have a good coach now".

Obviously not exact words but that seems to be the attitude.

Something else I just remembered after reading a rumor. Since Arians is the new HC in Arizona, he's going to go all out to lure Keith Butler to Arizona. You guys think he will try to hire Kirby as an OC also?

I don't think Butler will leave.

I suppose Kirby is a possibility but he's more of a Tomlin guy. Hard to say if Arians holds him in high regard the same way.

Kirby and Tomlin and BFFs. Can't see him leaving.

Also how does Grilli qualify to play for team Italy in the WBC? He was born in Michigan and his father was born in Brooklyn. Are the rules really lax when it comes to this?

I'm so used to the IIHF being super strict with rules on national teams.

They use ancestry for eligibility...it's the only way for places like Italy and Israel to actually have a roster.

It's one of million reasons why I can't take that tournament seriously.

Hell, Jameson Taillon is on Team Canada and he was born in Florida and raised in Texas.

Eifert? Ertz? Reinstra? Sounds like a Rammstein CD to me.

PS: Of course he would have the Bills picking T'eo lol. I actually can't begin to think about how awful yet realistic that scenario is.

Get Jordan Kovacs in the 6th round (if he's available), he's a great leader, terrific open-field tackler, okay running speed, decent coverage skills and also has good awareness.

I have to say, the Browns are impressing me this offseason.

Not familiar with their new head coach, I'm not a fan of the hiring because of who was available (doesn't matter because I'm a Steeers fan.)

Norv Turner as their Offensive Coordinator

Ray Horton as their Defensive Coordinator (surprised Arians let him go)

Michael Lombardi as their GM.

Some good personnel to turn the team around. Colbert better make some improvements.

The head coach and GM hirings were extremely questionable...but those are some damn fine coordinators.

Lombardi is a total tool and patently awful at talent evaluation...so nothing changes in Cleveland there.

I was going to say, I don't think Lombardi was a good choice as a GM. I just listen to him evaluate talent during drafts and I shake my head.

I'm just waiting for the team that drafts him to do a Te'o Bobblehead game. First 10000 fans get an empty box . . .

He's terrible in coverage.

I'll be honest, I didn't watch Michigan's last two games of the season. Jordan Kovacs is a very determined individual, I think he has a chance in the NFL. But, he does lack size and I also think the game might be too fast for him.

We'll see what happens to him in the future. If he's a free-agent, I'd say give him a chance to see how well he does in training camp.
