Elias is easy money in fantasy. Dunno how much longer it will be that way, but he's flown so low under the radar that I'm always able to get him in the later rounds. He was key for me last season.

Don't like to take any other Devils though.

Probably means they plan to start with Matteau

Why would they risk someone else picking him up just to let him play in the AHL all star game? Makes NO sense.

I wonder if something else is up.

Next step is to see the tweets from practice start.... if someone is missing...

Unlikely, its 10 days away and if he was needed on the NHL roster, the AHL ASG would be more than an afterthought

Butler wouldn't clear waivers til noon tomorrow, so he'll have to be on Devils' 23-man roster today when it's set before 5 p.m.

Edit : In my opinion this is either a trade in the making, or Lou has seen Butler and decided Sykora is better for the job

It kinda does destroy our offensive hopes. You need secondary scoring, and we just dont have much of it. No Butler and now we have even less.
