I think the Stastny lines gonna tear s*** up tomorrow. Suter will probably be pre-occupied with the Duchene/Lando line and thats gonna leave Stastny to take care of business against weaker D.

Shortly after the game it will be taken away when they realize the shot was actually tipped.

I agree with Frenchy, we have a pretty rough time against the Wild in general and they've only improved.

On the bright side, most of these guys are returning from last season so hopefully chemistry will allow this opener to be better than last years against the Wings.

Varly goes *******, staz sets up lando on the PP in the 2nd, and Drunken Jones chips in a second late in the third to seal the 2-0 win.

I know how it will happen. He will be paired with Zanon, who's beard will lead the way, destroying any Wild player who dares cross it's path, creating an easy open net goal for Barrie. I expect this on their first shift.

Some of us appear to have forgotten the important and unfortunate fact that Greg Zanon's beard is attached to Greg Zanon.

Personally, if I were the Avs, I would be fired up about going into Minnesota for the first game. We all know they have passionate fans, who are especially excited about seeing Parise and Suter's first game. And it's hockey day in Minnesota. There's something to be said about the desire to shut up a raucous crowd of 18000.

Avs win 4-1

Over/under on two periods before Bordeleau is ejected?

Is Kassian playing?? I'd be down to watch them fight.

And they'll still find a way to take credit for the goal away from him...

Zanon's beard would get the goal, with the assists going to Zanon and whoever keeps stealing his razors.

I grew up with his sister, Maria. I'm from Bloomington, and knew her up until she transfered out of our HS to another Junior year to play hockey for a better team. I also know Erik's (Johnson) cousin, Karli. And if any of you remember Mark Parrish, his mother was my english teacher. Weird.

I'm rootin' for Erik, always. But go Wild.

Edit: if any of you want my autograph from my very obvious celeb status, I can send you one

I disagree, I think Spurgeon's good enough to play top pairing even if he's not a top pairing dman. Maybe Suter will make him look even better or maybe Suter will look bad without Weber and Parise will be a 70 pt player instead of a 90 pt player.....I said hoping.
When did Parise become an expected 90 point player? Always thought he was a good two-way 70 point winger who once put up 90 points. Maybe he flirts with point per game but he now has to face the West a whole lot more.
