OK, since Tao doesn`t post here anymore, I think it`s time to bring in some sense as opposed to nonsense:
Remember once a player clears waivers, he becomes waiver exempt for the remainder of the season.
This is probably to clear room for Henrique's return, although I think waiver exempt Tedenby goes down first.
This is the best time to waive Butler, because teams are finalizing their rosters. If Lou waited until he was forced to waive Butler, other teams may have incurred injuries which would make him more pluckable. Unless a team is going into this afternoon with a 22-man roster (NYR), Butler should be safe.
Also waiver claims can not be sent down without being waived again by the claiming team. NYI will have to keep Finley, Hickey, Strait, etc., up or expose them to waivers again.
