Fantasy Hockey for Canes Fans!

Hello Caniacs

I have started an ESPN Fantasy Hockey league and I'd like to get exclusively Hurricanes fans to join. 20 total spots. Head to Head weekly scoring, playoffs!

Draft is currently set for Sunday Oct 7th, 8:00pm, Snake style, 90 second picks.

This should be low key and fun.

Post or Private Message me your e-mail and I will certainly and swiftly send you an invite!

-B Cash

Hey visitors, you're welcome to ask questions to your heart's content about rostering Canes players on your fantasy team.

Is Semin going to be playing with Eric Staal? Do you guys have an idea of what the lines are going to be this season?

Yes to the first question, no to the second.

Muller seems to be playing the lines somewhat close to the chest, but one of the few things that we know for sure is that Semin WILL be on Eric's wing on the top line to start the year.

Yeah so far this pre-season the line combos that we know for sure are Eric - Semin and Skinner - Jordan in the top 6 with Jokinen centering the 3rd line. Which of the Checkers ends up where (Boychuk, Dalpe, Bowman) and if they put Tlusty back with Eric is a mystery to everyone. They've had Boychuk working with the Eric - Semin line the past few days in camp but there's no telling if that's going to stay the case.

thanks

I doubt he plays tomorrow. However, it would be 4th line center most likely. He's got the size if Muller wants to slide him in. But he wont fit in any higher with the top 9 being set.

Not sure what to make of it yet. He'll probably start off the season as a healthy extra though with Kirk's emphasis on size on the 4th line him playing with Westgarth and one of Dwyer, Brent, or Bowman wouldn't surprise me either. I don't think he's expected to be a top 9 player until some more things play out in terms of the roster. Muller seems to be looking towards a "sink or swim" attitude with a couple of our top prospects to start the season.

Also have Tlusty still, probably going to drop him for one of these guys or maybe Conacher

Hey Cane fans,

I've been looking for lineups for your squad (especially top6 forwards). I keep seeing a million different combos because there are so many combos which could work given the talent in your line up. Could you help me out here? I'm looking at picking up Semin in a fantasy pool and want to know who he's playing with (I know he's top PP).

Much thanks,

A nucks fan!

Tlusty now with 2 points in two games. Fluke or finally starting to produce?

Definitely not a fluke. 2 points in 8 games still isn't what we've expected from him.

He'll grab 20 points this year, easy.

I had him at the start of the year, but gave up on him. I think I'll give him another shot as it sounds like he's still playing on the top line, but now getting the points.
