Matt Carle vs Ryan McDonagh - Pure Points League

Matt Carle seems like he might have more offensive upside, but then he's old and doesn't really seem like the type of player that would improve this year, still unproven at 28

Ryan McDonagh had less points last year, but the guy seems like a beast and has a good chance of breaking out this year, I'm just not sure about his offensive upside?

I think Carle will be passing to Stamkos on the powerplay a lot.

Carle is much more skillful to pass or shot than Mcdonagh.

but when i see their linemates, Mcdonagh would have more chance to create points. it's pretty gamble. if you have +/- category in your league, i would recommend picking Mcdonagh, but when it comes to only points, i still prefer Carle.

Old? 28 is not that old for a dman.

Unproven? In his last 3 seasons, he has put up at least 35 pts and he had a 42 pt season in San Jose a few years ago. If you think that is unproven, than what does it take to be a proven dman?

There were only 19 dman that put up 40 or more pts last season. 35+ pts is good production for a dman.

I'd go with Carle. Seems like the safer pick for this year.

Hard not to go with Carle here.
