I believe the Larsson thing is just a place holder. We put Harrold thru waivers and he might not be a Devil anymore. Its a matter of getting the roster set. Send Larrson down till Butlers gets claimed or send down then call Larrson back up for the game tomorrow. My guess is he wouldnt even leave the NJ.
I'd rather Larsson play in the A than be scratched, at this point.

Agreed. I guess if Lou doesn't trade a D man than Larsson plays in the AHL until a D man gets hurt or someone gives Lou want he wants for Tallinder as he is the only that is liking to get traded.
I'm getting a bit tired of Lou's last-minute roster games, we always wind up with goofiness that makes no sense at the initial deadline. So we're keeping eight D, ninety goons, Matteau/Darche/TEDENBY but can't keep a guy that had like 15 goals in less than half an AHL season?

AHL success doesn't mean that much. Maybe Butler didn't fit the system. Or maybe they are getting another player (Gomez) that they want in the top 6. I like Salvador and all, but I am not sure we should have signed him because the log jam in the D is a pain.

It makes no sense at all, and this right here is why I said we NEED to get rid of one of these 8 defensemen. It's right now keeping us shorthanded a forward spot. I wonder if Janssen stays up when Henrique goes back? Or if Tedenby, or Butler (If he comes back) will be sent back to Albany.

i dont know if it was him just being pissed out being there in the first place or just not being comfortable still. but he consitintly let the puck over the blue line to the point where you puckered up every time it was passed to him.
he got caught with his head down pretty regularly too, which wasnt hard to do because it would take him a good 3 seconds to lift his head up when ever he finally got the puck on his stick. almost like he couldn't believe he actually held onto a pass.
trust me i want him to be good just as bad as you, and when he plays good you can see that he can be damn good. but as of now he still has to get comfortable.
but towards the end in the last few weeks he seemed more confident, so you never know.

Lou always has and always will have goons, it's almost not even worth being annoyed over anymore. What baffles me is the continued fascination with Tedenby, and having Darche even still here when you already have a bunch of third/fourth liners anyway.

They can't get rid of Tedenby over Butler? Tedenby was playing four minutes a game last year with ZERO success, he still has to be on the roster why? When the other guy has 15 goals and we need goalscoring? And he doesn't even have to go through waivers.

I am okay having Harrold as he is a fine 7th defenseman dressing only in emergencies. Not sure why you send him to waivers unless you want Larsson to be the guy that sits tomorrow.
Wait a minute. Harrold was waived? I don't get it? If Tedenby plays, and Larsson doesn't that's another stupid thing. Why put so much time into a more than possible BUST like Tedenby, and not into our 4th overall pick from two years ago that's got nothing to prove in the AHL? Tedenby wasn't playing any better than Joe Whitney until his last two weekends in the AHL. He was being played on the third line I believe it was, for most of the season.
Regardless I'm not mad about Tedenby. I'm mad about that piece of **** Janssen. It's a lost cause if he's resigned next year. He's gotta be the most incompetent, useless player in the league.
