AHL success doesn't mean that much. Maybe Butler didn't fit the system. Or maybe they are getting another player (Gomez) that they want in the top 6. I like Salvador and all, but I am not sure we should have signed him because the log jam in the D is a pain.
Wish I had the time to find all those Butler 1st line posts. Was never going to happen.
They can't get rid of Tedenby over Butler? Tedenby was playing four minutes a game last year with ZERO success, he still has to be on the roster why? When the other guy has 15 goals and we need goalscoring? And he doesn't even have to go through waivers.
Let me explain something about Tedenby that I've been saying for a while now. While I'm not too pissed he's up (Janssen should GTFO) this organization will give him special treatment. He will be given chances other guys won't. Not bringing up Carlson here, but since Tedenby was a first round pick he will get entitlement treatment. They will take their time with him, and hope for the best as long as they can.
Someone earlier on the page said Harrold was waived but I can't find it anywhere in TG's tweets so it's probably more speculation that got misinterpreted.
I saw a tweet this morning that only 3 players were put on waivers today Butler was one but Harrold wasn't the other. Harrold isn't going to dress so not sure why the hell he would need to be waived unless they want Larsson to not dress until someone gets hurt.
Why the need for Janssen? Why didn't Lou just give him a one way contract if he was gonna get a spot over guys that deserve to be up more than him? He's the biggest passenger on this team, and of no use if we have Barch. No one will claim this incompetent POS off waivers.
At this point I wish Lou gave him a one way contract. I wouldn't be as mad as him being on a two way, and staying up over guys more deserving. He should know that since he's on a two way. It's what he signed up for.
None of Butler, Larsson, Harrold, Tedenby or Janssen need to be sent down. Darche hasn't been signed (yet). Henrique is on injured reserve. The roster is 23 already with Pesonen and Sestito going down. Waiving Butler is to allow flexibility in the coming weeks.
It is odd how Janssen got a two-way but it's really a one-way in everything but name. Maybe the paper two-way deal is just a way for Lou to keep him 'in line' (i.e. he does something screwy then the two-way part of the deal gets used)
