Getzlaf: "Anaheim first option"
Quote:

@icemancometh
Ryan Getzlaf told media in Vancouver that the Ducks are his "first option" and that he's told GM Bob Murray that for a long time.

It would be pretty surprising if he doesn't re-sign his wife doesn't want to move

I hope he stays. He's the Duck player to me, even more than Kariya and Selänne is.

Really don't think Getzlaf is leaving, Perry is the questionable one.

I know you East Coaster are used to small states, but SJ is 6+ hours away.
He won't go to LA. Theree has yet to be a star player in his prime that went to one of the SoCal teams to the other.
Besides, the Kings couldn't even afford to get Getzlaf in under the cap without getting rid of 2 or 3 players.
I wouldn't bet on Getzlaf going to LA or SJ

Yeah I think Getzlaf will sign but it sure as hell won't be cheap. He'll use all the demand for him to his advantage and get a GREAT deal.
Corey Perry on the other hand could bolt and if he wants to play close to home, Nonis just has to try and outbid teams because players like Corey Perry don't hit the UFA very much.

I hink Parise`s fiance was born in Pittsburgh, her favorite city was quoted to be Chicago and she supposedly really loved her teaching position in in New Jersey. I am not even making this **** up, I learned more about this woman last summer than anyone could possible ever want to know about her, including Zach Parise.

It is right?
I'm trying to find out if there is a cryptic message there or something.

I agree that where they been living there their entire adult life is more important.

Think he stays and Perry leaves (whether Anaheim opts to trade him at the deadline or he walks at year end)
