Jeez, he should know better than to buy shrimp from a gas station.

Anyways, my prediction 8 to 6 WILD....a BARN BURNER!!!

(not using that metaphorically, I think Zanon is gonna burn down the X-Cel Energy Center...look at 'em!!!)

Well I guess Parise's scoring a hat trick against us now.

I like his confidence, but hasn't anyone told him you don't put quotes in the paper for opposing teams to pin up on their wall and motivate them to prove you wrong?

Wow. Did not expect that but I like it. **** Suter and Parise.

Duchene.....

Quote:
"I don't think we're really thinking about it," Avs center Matt Duchene said after the team's final practice before opening a 48-game, lockout-shortened regular season at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. "They got two great players, yeah (in Zach Parise and Ryan Suter), but every team in the West has great players. No one scares us this year. If we do what we're supposed to do out there, hopefully we'll neutralize 'em."

Oh lord I forgot how weak our lineup is... This is going to be a long season... Really no "talent", just a bunch of grinders and character guys.

Don't get me wrong, they are a part of a good team, but Jesus we need some more talent.

Umm... Quit Winnin' for MacKinnon? (although I would much prefer Drouin, Lindholm, or Barkov)

we're not tanking without having played a game yet.

Surely you jest.

I was being histrionic. Varlamov destroyed the KHL this season... I'm very excited to see that... And Duchene seems to have the right attitude... and Lando has a shiny new 'C' on his sweater.

Let's see this.

Interested to see how Granlund performs. Does anyone know if Dumba will be playing?

Sounds like they'll keep him for 5 games before the contract kicks in. With the Brodin injury it'll be easier to find a spot from him during the 5 games he plays too.

Dumba "made" the team to get early NHL experience. He's with the team till Brodin/Scandella are ready to play.

He will be healthy scratch unless there's an injury (Hopefully none). I expect him to stay there for 1-2 weeks.

Just curious, what makes you want to be a regular here?

And is that a Duchene hat trick?

Would be nice though because I have him in at least one of my pools

I didn't think he was anything near ready. Too bad though, I'm sure we could have taken advantage of him.

Kinda nervous about Granlund, Parise and Suter on the PP though.

That was just a polite way of saying I hope the Wild kick some Avalanche butt.

I'm so bored, just woke up from a 3 hour nap. Why, couldn't they just play today. Argh.
