Then don't. You are not required to. I absolutely raked. However, I was not a power hitter. 95 percent of the time it was a single. I also used my short height my freshman year as an advantage to draw a lot of walks. The sophomore coach didn't believe I had the arm strength and the size to keep up. It all worked out in the end.
