European players? I thought all hockey player were born and raised in Ontario?
Well, yeah. Except for the ones with their names ending in "Ov" "Ev" or "In". Those were all raised in Moscow. And the ones with "Berg", "Vist" "din" or "strom" ending their names were all raised in Stolckholm, but were exiled to Canada for not being pretty enough.
The Kings are overrated I mean I think people forget that they finished 8th in the west last year and they weren't playing that good, they got really hot at the right time and ran with it to there first cup in franchise history.....
Scrivens plays adequatly in net, Leafs dont trade for Luongo but go after Bernier
Luongo doesnt get dealt this season, gets dealt in offseason to Philly
Bryz is bought out and goes to KHL for a ridiculous contract, allowing him to buy a very expensive telescope
Dubynk has a 0.922 GAA, HF impodes
Oilers come out strong but cool down after 21 games, come in 9th
Flames come out slow but heat up after 21 games, come in 10th
Malkin has an off year, comes 7th in league scoring
Crosby dominates the league, scoring 1.5 ppg
Sorry if its already been done, but what are some of your wacky predictions for this season? Teams, players, fans, have some fun with it. I'll post mine:
Rick Nash and Marian Gaborik don't mesh, NYR bow out in the 1st round of the playoffs
Sergei Bobrovsky on 30th ranked Columbus will post better numbers than Ilya Bryzgalov, who will be bought out in the off-season after the Flyers acquire Roberto Luongo for a package that includes Daniel Briere
Zach Parise will struggle mightily in Minnesota to put up points, and Ryan Suter will not be the Suter we've come to know in Nashville, and will struggle without a partner of Weber's calibre, as the Wild miss the playoffs
1st suspension for a dirty hit this year will be Alexei Emelin for throwing a vicious hip check that everyone would have loved 15 years ago
Tim Thomas will attempt to come back sometime around the playoffs, and some team will be stupid enough to trade for him
Wade Redden will play a big role in the Blues' 1st place season, and Scott Gomez will have a resurgance wherever he winds up playing
Jake Gardiner will not be the second coming of Bobby Orr sorry leaf fans, I had to take one tiny little shot, I know you guys love him like all fans love their own players
Last but not least, homer pick for my Avs, Gabriel Landeskog will finish second in the league in goals behind Steven Stamkos
Well, I was semi right about a few of these, the Tim Thomas one makes me laugh Although it was for cap reasons, it was still a stupid trade nonetheless
Didn't expect Gaborik and Nash to mesh well but also did not expect one to be traded especially in their first season together
No Luongo to Philly but Bobrovsky sure has played lights out for Columbus, who is surely deserving of the playoffs because of how hard they work every game with such little talent before the Gaborik trade
Gardiner hasn't exactly had a great sophmore season, but injuries and depth play factors, I'm sure we'll see a resurgence from him next season
