Right now he's not doing well...he's trying too hard, he needs to relax a little bit.

Does it seem like we got guys like mastumoto/kennedy specifically for AHL duties? I know the worcester guys lacked scoring in a big way last year. Kennedy has proven he can play in the NHL in the past though, and was just wondering if youve heard anything about it.

Both players were brought in to help Worceste,r and they've both been good there, likely knowing that if they played well enough they might get a shot in San Jose.

I think just about everyone agrees that if Kennedy was healthy he would've been in San Jose's training camp this past week.

100% chance he would have been at camp...not a doubt about it. Kennedy was playing real well before he got hurt and he may have made a decent run at a roster spot.

Bulls may may face rookie in net tonight when they host Stockton.

With main goalie called up to AHL (as they're short a goalie with Khabbi not yet ready to start the season), Stockton have signed "rookie" goalie Jody O'Neill, played at Dartmouth. (Signed ATO last year with Thunder.)

Great comeback for the Bulls tonight. No need for Heems to rush back. I think Nelson has been far better. BULLS \m/

Interesting to see Pelech move upto forward. Can anyone in Worcester tell me how him playing forward is working and if it gives Matt a better shot at getting a call-up by the big club. Looks like he had a dominant game against Adirondack.

I think you might have mixed up Matt and Michael. Michael played well but I don't know if I'd call it dominant either.

Hmmm, how could you think Michael played well vs Adirondack but at the same time not have noticed that Matt was playing forward? They played on the same line too.

Thanks for the input..I've noticed over the last few seasons his fighting has improved and hes always been willing to go anybody who challenges him so if he keeps throwing his weight around like he does he could be a good physical presence for the big club when needed. In his 5 game stint at the end of the season with Calgary he had 3 assists was +1 and fought 6'6 Brian Boyle after dishing out a good hit.. never got a sniff the next season it was a shame.

I'm a huge Matt Pelech fan, but as a defenseman he really had no chance at being an every day NHL player. He's VERY good in the AHL but there are some obvious things missing from his game that would make an NHL career on the blue line unlikely. The only thing missing in his ability to play a 4th line role at forward is experience. That will come over time.

Saturday Pelech played defense on the penalty kill, mostly because of all the injuries and call-ups he's by far the best available for that. Once Worcester gets guys back I fully expect Pelech to kill penalties as a forward. He's done that before against teams that have defensemen that blast shots from the point so he already has some experience in doing it.

I jokingly called Pelech "Staubitz 2.0" on twitter, but I think Pelech has a lot more skill than Staubitz has and will not be any sort of liability at forward (except face-offs, he took one last year and it was not pretty )

The WorSharks have released William Wrenn from his PTO and returned him to the Alaska Aces (ECHL). I though Wrenn looked pretty good here.
