Look, all I am saying is: How the hell does that make the cut? Not the obvious, awesome imagery of putting Max Von Sydow as Ming the Mercliess. Now that would be rad.

If he's going in a non-NYR theme I would have liked to have seen a Doberman Pincer mask.

Hank has great taste in dog's.

Swedish legends? I'd pay 50,000 for a Henrik Lundqvist mask with The Hives on it.

It sucks. Least classy mask Hank has ever worn.

Lifelike pictures of anyone on a goalie mask generally are garbage.

I'm digging the new mask.

Inb4 reason why we're losing is the new mask

No matter what he does it will be tough to top Cam Talbot's. Best I've ever seen:

My favorite is still the stop sign that Valiquette had.

Pretty sure that was the back plate of the SpiderMan mask, and yes, it was pure awesome, to bad Vally didn't live up to his own graphics...nice guy though.

Mine would always be some cheesy 80's death metal looking stuff. Just cuz it'd be ridiculous. Demons and skulls ftw.

.... LOL dude you totally missed the mark with this one...

I like the concept more than the actual design, but it's hard to talk bad about a mask with a legendary director and two babes on it. No surprise that Henrik has great taste in movies and women.

What's next ? ABBA, Ace of Base and Roxette mask ?

Kidding ... as a cinephile I'm totally ok with it. Also loved the Seventh Seal thing.

/s. i thought it was obvious. People complaining it's not New York-y enough.. Masks are personal, whatever is in there is usually pretty close to the netminders heart. Not saying Henrik doesn't love NY, of course he does. But hes still a Swede.

I didn't know it was Henrik's job to wear a mask that all the fans would like. So what if it doesn't have "Rangers" emblazoned all over it?

He could have went with someone else from the sliver screen, like Jason Voorhees, or Freddy Krueger, or that red haired kid with the green eyes from A Christmas Story.

Mask coolness and goalie quality are inversely proportional.

Henrik is Swedish. In what world would any of those guys be on one of his masks?
