I'm a Ranger fan, going to the game. I'm really thinking about this and need your advice. Should I refrain from wearing my jersey? Really don't wanna get in trouble with Southies.

[QUOTE=cursednumber6;57835555]My questions for the season.
1. Can a team that thrives on their structure make do with lack of practice time? They are farther ahead than others because it is the same players
2. Can Tuukka be as tough and hungry as Thomas?...NO NO AND NO.We all love Tuukku but Timmy had a real mental toughness
3. Will Bourque be adequate on wing?I hope so, but don't think so
4. How will Hamilton do? Will the d pairings affect chemistry postively or negatively? Many growing pains and the Bruins will likely have to find another defenseman to help take off the pressure especially if anyone gets injuryed. Let's face it, if Chara or Seids goes down, the team is done.
5. How fast will Lucic regain his conditioning?Expect both Lucic and Horton to have very slow starts.

A Bruins GDT. My oh my what a great sight to see after clicking on 57 Lockout threads for 3 months.

If anything, lockouts make you appreciate the game you love so much more.

He's basically Marchand's size. During the scrimmage, I got the two of them mixed up a few times (I blame the blurry stream, haha)

He seems to know how to use his size effectively though. I mean.. from the limited look I had. Really strong and tenacious in the corners. Even his play reminded me of Marchand's.

You'll be fine. I think too many people will just be happy with the Bruins being back and it won't get any further than playful ribbing.

I hope so. Not trying to be stereotypical (trust me us New Yorkers have many too), but I've heard that Southies are just Irish, drink-loving, fight-loving, crazy people. Worse than Philly fans. I'm just trying to look out for my own safety, as well as my brother who I'm going with. We're sitting in the 300's, which is why I feel more in danger. I don't need beer thrown on me.

Hopefully there will be a lot of Ranger fans and it'll feel like a more safe environment.

What Rick said. Wearing a jersey isn't a problem. If you stand up and yell obscenities at the Bruins or Bruins fans while wearing said jersey, THEN you'll have a problem.

You may hear folks tease you but as long as you don't act like an ass you should be OK.

Are we allowed to stand up and cheer when the Rangers score? (btw that was a serious question)

Listed as 5"9 183, and I think he's probably 5"8, 180+.

Weighing in the 160's in hockey is micro.

Bourque may be short but he's built like a fireplug, as his dad was. Thick legs and low center of gravity.

Never shoot-from-the-hip while standing in the dark. A great percentage of modern-day 'Southies', as you call them, are gay; if you fear them, that's doubling up on the bias.

Just cheer for your team and don't boo the home team and you should be fine from what I've seen.

How's it going LF? Ya I've become much more of a lurker in the past few years, but you know I love my GDT lol. I post a lot on the other boards around HF too. But ya I had to come post here. It's almost therapeutic lol.
