Always? His first two seasons at Chelsea he scored 1 league goal. His goal return at Chelsea would also suggest he is a better player when he starts, which he now will be doing. His best season at Chelsea he scored one goal as a substitute, 10 league goals as a starter. I am quite happy with him, anything but as selfish as some people would suggest.

Allen's vital to the way Rodgers wants to play and Henderson's been pretty meh since joining Liverpool (wasn't helped by having a huge price tag round his neck).

I find them to be very similar players. On merit Henderson should be starting at the moment. Allen is in bad form at the moment but will be fine over the long run.

He's done it before...

Let's see if it lasts especially against top teams.

Yeah he looked pretty good for Chelsea early. Winning a few imp penalties and being a good outlet out wide. Would have scored more if he was playing through the middle.
I am glad your are happy with him and hope he works out for pool though I have my doubts.

Arsenal team to face Chelsea is:

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Coquelin, Wilshere, Diaby, Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud.

Subs: Mannone, Jenkinson, Santos, Koscielny, Ramsey, Frimpong, Arshavin.

A little light on the subs bench in terms of attack, good to see Frimpong on the bench though.

Henderson has a ton more ability going forward, more offensive instincts, and he's just bigger. He's also one of the faster players, with at least a few moves in his bag.

I think Allen's a more concistent passer, and at times, can be more efficient. He's also better defensively.

But in the role they're looking for (with Lucas in the lineup), Henderson in decent form, is the player to play in there. Allen's too defensive orriented, and really tries to slide into what Lucas does. Henderson has the pace to get into the box, and the offensive desire to create things. It also doesn't hurt that Henderson, in a pinch, has played some winger, and helps with the interchanges.

Arsenal shouldn't be 2-0 down. 1st one shouldn't of stood.

Wilshere's the only good looking Arsenal player right now. Why are Chelsea wearing the black armbands?

diaby and Coquelin should never be on the pitch at the same time

Replays confirmed that Ramires just jumped into the goalkeeper to win that penalty
