If they don't send him down today/tomorrow I could see them keeping him around just to put pressure on the rest of the guys. As soon as on guy starts playing poorly they're gonna get Gallagher in there.

No matter how we'll beat them, I predict that their GDT will become a mess and they're going to trade everyone Just like last year, or the year before, or the other one before that...

I wasn't 100% sure if it was a joke or not, but I think it was just instinct that took over.

A good young goalie that did well in the AHL during the lockout and last year. But he still has a lot to prove he belongs in the NHL. The potential's there tho.

You don't put a young rookie at center in his first year, not ever. Not unless he's the higheset touted center in prospect history.

Do you know what responsibilities the center has?

I still can't get over how he holds his glove. Not sure it's the best position.

This^^

Sadly our goaltending situation isn't the best in the NHL, but hopefully Scrivens or Reimer can give us decent goaltending this year.

Scrivens has a much better style then Reimer, he uses his glove and blocker, instead of trying to use his elbow like Reimer.

Should be a good game boys!

My, my, lots of Leaf fans have violent intentions for our Habs:
- one guy wants to see Gally (can't stop calling him that) get hammered
- Armstrong is obviously getting on their nerves
- one is hoping Price will be out for the season

On the other hand, they seem to be supremely confident in having Kostka on their top pairing.

Hoping for a good effort from the Habs and that Gally picks up a point, that the 3rd line can get on the scoresheet and that Markov will show glimpses of returning to form!

Yeah as a Leaf fan me neither, it's weird. Not sure where he learned that but hey if it works it works. This was the smart thing to do, it's obvious Reimer isn't game ready while Scrivens has played really well this year for the Marlies. He played extremely well last season as well, he deserves a shot.

Scrivens has played well at every level so far, as had Reimer before last year. But he's an undrafted guy, went to Cornell, then a bit in the ECHL then into the backup slot on the Marlie's and then into the starting position (although they've had a lot of goalies the last few years, so Scrivens has shared the net at periods.)

Thing is though, he's a fricking rookie without much intense, big-game experience, and now he's the starting goalie expected to carry Leafs nation into the playoffs. If there's a textbook on how to f up a goalie prospect, doing this is chapter one. Same thing they did to Reimer. Same way they threw their playoff hopes on Gustavsson's shoulders his second season in North America. That org is like a machine that grinds goalie prospects into dust as quickly as possible.

Scrivens might pan out, but really the odds of him turning out to be a top-tier starter in the NHL are pretty long. And putting him under that kind of pressure by making him the game one starter strikes me as just a stupid thing to do in terms of long-term development.

I just want Gally to do well... Otherwise, watching big #25 pivoting the Leafs offense for the next decade could be painful.

Scrivens is 26, so really he isn't much of a prospect. If anytime is the time to give him a shot..it is this year.

Question: Should I expect to see Diaz on the 1st wave on PP?

Kaberle and Markov can't be both the passers and neither likes to shoot that much. You think Michel sees it like I do? I'd give Diaz the chance to be that shooter while PK is comfortably watching at home.

Besides, it's not like you magically lose the ability to play center by playing wing as a rookie. Last I checked, Seguin and Giroux are fine.
