Internet streams are relatively easy to come by.

Center Ice preview is free through the end of the month on Directv.

Blacked out

If you lived an hour from the arena and a tv provider prevented u from seeing all foxsports telecasts home and away just because they didnt want to pay the rights fee to fox you would be ticked too. If the preds and the nhl had leverage this would not happen

Oh nice. I didn't know that. Looks like I'll be spending all of my free time tonight, tomorrow and Monday watching hockey

OT: I took advantage of the 25% off deal on shop.nhl.com. Got myself a knit cap, and also bought a hoodie for my brother. Depending on how long it lasts I may cave and buy this:

The choice is that of Directv, not the NHL or the Preds. Notice that other providers in southern Ky still show the Preds. You're blaming the team and league for the decision made by a third party.

EDIT ... Logan County hasn't been part of the local network according to Directv for a while.

I think he is saying if the NHL were a bigger sports league in the states and if the Preds had more pull within the NHL that this wouldn't happen, but I think that goes without saying. They dropped areas where it made no sense (to them) to air it.

That said, CI is free until the end of the month as 101st noted, and people are generally able to find streams. I'm sure someone will be willing to help you find a place to watch the games.

Have you looked into the DirecTV sports package? I'm pretty sure they still offer that. Gives you access to all of the FSN channels and alternates, AFAIK, and when my roommates got it they said it was cheap. Maybe if you got that you could find Preds hockey on alternates. Could be worth checking into

Were the Preds on tonight on Insight up here in Bowling Green? I was at the game but I'm sure it was on.

Luckily, being an hour away is a short drive to see the Preds though. Rather be there than see it on tv anyways.

DirecTV Sports Pack is a non-starter, unfortunately. I have had it for years to watch the EPL, and it will blackout any regional pro sports telecast that is outside of your local region. Allowing those games to be seen would directly conflict with their Center Ice, League Pass, Sunday Ticket, etc... packages. A waste of a package, honestly, but I can't just add Fox Soccer Channel by itself, so...

I would normally suggest Center Ice to everyone, though I'm trying to stick to my pledge not to spend any $ on this league this year (yeah right). If you're a diehard, I spend most nights flipping from game to game to game and back again. Thank the Lord for a wife that doesn't need the TV for half the year.

Any suggestions for me?

I live in Glasgow (42141) and have DirecTV. I've subscribed to Sports Pack pretty much just for the Preds games. So since I pay for Sports Pack and since Center Ice is free for the time being, why in the world have both Preds games been blacked on every channel I can find: FSN-Tennessee, the road team's feeds (FSN-Cincinnati and FSN-Midwest) and both Center Ice channels for each game?

Online pirated feeds are all I can get to work.

I confirmed tonight that Insight in Bowling Green channel 930 FSN is NOT blacked out. It looked great in HD. I can't comment for satellite though.
