Make sense that it would take a bit to get back together as a team.

Barons down 1-0 with 5:14 minutes left in the second. They do seem to be working hard.

Interesting. That's the second straight game where they've outshot their opponents by a sizable margin and lost.

Probably because they don't have anyone that's able to actually score.

It's stating the obvious... but looking at that lineup... they have no finishers. Maybe lots of try, heart and determination but without some actual talent to bury the puck when they get chances... it's going to be a long, long year full of losses.

I don't even want to be overly pessimistic... but the reality is when you look at that roster... out of who's left there... could you envision any of them scoring even 15 goals in an NHL season? Arcobello is by far the biggest threat remaining and he's essentially a smaller Gagner.

Actually, Rajala looked very dangerous two nights in a row. I think he can put up points at the AHL level.

Mark Arcobello has been named to the 2013 AHL All-star team.

I'm excited to Bunz to get some time in the AHL. It sucks that the guys infront of him will be so incapable though.

1-0 Barons after one period off a goal by Martindale. The Barons have outshot the Rampage 19-2 so far.

Barons lose 4-2 on a night where it sounds like they heavily outplayed the Rampage, but Markstrom stood on his head all night and Roy couldn't match him at the other end of the ice.

Martindale and Rajala with the goals.

Sad. This team needs some AHL ringers.

4th goal was an empty netter, but the Barons need to get some scoring real bad. Out shot the Rampage 19-2 in the first period and only had a 1-0 lead.

This team lacks Omark. Have to admit.

Good news is there will be better players coming in next year.

Sort of. Last year they had Keller, Brule, Omark along with Acrobello, Cornet, and Harski. They constantly outplayed and outshot their opponents but did drop off after O'Marra got traded. This team just needs a tad more skill to win consistently.

The lockout was a bad thing for OKC Barons with the young guns down there they really did not sign the vet support needed to be a wining team. Then with the lock out over all the guys that were producing besides Arco are up with the Oilers.

We have the money I would like some AHL signings, I see no one picked up Winchester he would be a solid AHL signing, I haven't seen much of Brett Clark lately but I'm sure he could help our defense. The guys down there need a bit more support, and if we are committed to staying in Oklahoma we should endeavor to grow the market down there with a winning team. I am thinking a few players who might normally scoff at an AHL deal would be a little more likely to take one given half the season is already over just to keep in game shape and to get more exposure to scouts to hopefully get a contract next year.

Rajala looks very good right now. I like the line with him, Lander and Pelss.

Pelss is an intersting player. He could become a solid energy guy at the NHL level if he continues to progress.

There is some chatter on twitter that OKC has signed Jonathan Cheechoo. Even though he is a shell of his former self, he is still a solid AHL player. Would be a welcome addition to a team that desperately needs scoring, and is thin on vets.

Saw the pretty play between Pitlick, Rajala, and Martindale... Here's hoping he (all of 'em) makes a complete comeback.

EDM should send down PRV sitting in the box and not playing is not going to help his game develop. He could be playing top line minutes in the aHL.
