I hope Galchenyuk scores 3 goals, all unassisted and it sets the city into a frenzy. People will forget about Matthieu Darche and Scott Gomez. Go Chucky Go!!!

I'm not arguing he's too young, but that he's too inexperienced to be slated in as the starting goalie, which is how the media in Toronto is treating the starter of the home opener. Absolutely he's ready to play in the NHL, but I'm saying they keep fast-tracking good goalie prospects into the spotlight, instead of breaking them in as backups for a few years. Scrivens is 26, but he hasn't played that much elite level hockey along the way. I just think they're putting more focus and pressure on him than they need to.

I actually like the two bottom lines. We haven't had size and toughness like that in awhile.

IIRC, Weber actually had a ridiculous production rate as a forward... somehow.

Powerplay D is pathetic. Markov needs a bomb to feed. Gorges can't shoot.

Emelin has a decent shot, he never got much of a chance last year on PP. Now that Marky is back we might see it.

Too much too soon by Galchenyuk probably isn't the best thing for his career.

Why the heck would Gorges be on the top PP? Play Kaberle 2 minutes if you have to.

Markov has a good shot of his own if they had somebody to feed him(Diaz or Kaberle).

He's the best shot blocker on the team, he's just there to block clearing attempts. I'd look at it more as 4 on 4.

I want to see Emelin there, he has a pretty good shot, he's pretty mobile and can pass.
