Anaheim is closer to Mexico.
That was a vandalized quote on Wikipedia. He never said that.

I'll gladly drive to San Jose, pick him up, and bring him to La Tortuga in Seaside. So delicious.

La Vic's is decent.

My favorite Mexican place in San Jose is Angelou's Cafe on 2nd. Adelita's is really good, too, but they're located in Campbell/Willow Glen.

Darn, figured it was too good of a quote to be true. I could totally see Gomez saying it though.

Go try Jalisco's in Campbell. They've been around for a LONG time(moved around a few times). My parents used to go to them when they were in Junior High/ High School.

La Vic is OK, only reason I will go there is when I am craving their Orange Sauce. I will get a burrito and buy a bottle to bring home.

If it's for close to league minimum I can live with that.

Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun No other teams in the mix on Gomez now. Hasn't signed yet, but his sole focus on San Jose at this point ..

I'm glad this turned into a chat about Mexican restaurants in SJ.

FriedgeHNIC 12:16pm via Twitter for BlackBerry® Doug Wilson: "Nothing imminent" on Gomez. Says what many have reported, Larry Robinson "will have a lot of input."

Es verdad.

Don't know how he survived in NYC, not a lot of good Mexican here (food, racists). But yeah, more Gomez talk less cuisine please.

Honestly one of the things I miss most about CA is the Mexican food, La Vic's burritos is a big one. Can't find a good burrito in Boston.

I'm hoping this doesn't come as a detriment to Sheppard. I was kinda looking forward to seeing him play.

I almost think it would be better to let him keep playing in the minors and build his confidence with big minutes.

I'd love to see these lines. Gives us the depth we need by breaking it all up.

Isn't Gomez at his best in sheltered minutes? So 3rd line ice time for now...

This shouldn't be about the money. We are the only team in the mix...but maybe he is thinking he'd rather retire and enjoy all the money he has made, since he is very unlikely to get another paiday like that again...
