Exactly why I can't watch those two teams play. "Analysts" are calling Philly an elite team in the east which is totally laughable. Only two elite teams left in the east and that's us and the Pens.

And we got Nash. Those Cup favorites lost in the first round. Our only problem in the playoffs was scoring, and we just fixed that. Pittsburgh didn't fix anything, and arguably got worse.

Hahaha so true.

Sloppy clearing attempt by WPG and OTT ties it, Pavelec's 5-hole looked worse than Biron's. Michalek scored.

I said last week that Philly could miss the playoffs. Still looks possible

It's very possible, the worst possible thing for Philly would be losing the first game, especially if Bryz gives up a softie or two. He will totally self destruct again.

Exactly. The pens have 2 stars no doubt about that but their defense is nothing like ours and we have the best goalie. Also our offense is much better with nash and a full season of kreider.

I honestly didn't know they had a statue of Kate Smith. That's cool.

Don't underestimate the Pens. Don't underestimate anyone. It's a short season. IMO there is no favorite in either conference.

Crosby will have less time to come back from his annual injury this season.

Agreed. I don't underestimate any of them but I certainly do get annoyed hearing how awesome they are

Shots only 11-3? Looks like the Pens have 30.

I know this is late, but what was that new hand-pass rule or whatever that Pierre was talking about before?

Evander Kane is awesome... a little immature but is young... with the right coaching he will breakout.

Covering the puck with your hand in the defensive zone is now a penalty. It's called the Karl Alzner rule
