It does not look good for the Toronto - Montreal game. Site nor iPad app are responding much, even though the 'watch' buttons are active.

I think I can count myself lucky that I could watch the Pit - Phi game without much trouble.

Does anyone else have Time Warner? I'm trying to watch the Jets game and can't seem to get the HD feed to come in. Is HD not available for the free preview?

OTT vs WPG quality was amazing on GCL.

The two other games I watched on NBC website were pretty good as well

If NHL screws this up, I expect head to roll.

4 month lockout and they have server/streaming issues? No excuses, somebody has ****ed up.

WTF Happened to the center Ice Free preview. I was looking forward to catching MTL-TOR during commercials.

I bought GCL sub 3 days ago.... I have 2 more days to decide if I want to cancel or not.

I just sub'd for a week at hockeystreams... (you can put that money towards extending your account for 6months,etc)

As of right now, hockeystreams is KILLLLLLLLING CGL.

I signed up on hockeystreams whem CGL was being horrible before, and within seconds I was watching hockey flawlessly on hockeystreams.

I will decide later.. if I will cancel or not, when the games start at 7pm. I will compare, and post my results here.

Yeah, that's how it has always been and is clearly stated before you sign up. Have to wait two days.

Yes. Those are the blackout restrictions that were there last year, and the year before that, and the year before that... Every sport has blackouts.

Yes, cancel the subscription after one day. Sounds reasonable. How dare we not be happy about not being able to watch hockey games on the first day of hockey after a long ****** lockout.

This is a message board. We are supposed to discuss things here. And complaining about a ****** service counts as a discussion.

Now please leave this thread and never return
didn't believe I'd ever say this, but I agree with you.

It's a failure of mine, I try to reason with people who don't want to see reason.

Initially I was trying to explain it nicely, so people wouldn't panic and make rash decisions, but that kinda backfired when you became pissy.

You obviously dont know much about networking or how it works. It DOES NOT MATTER if they know they will have a heavy load, there is almost nothing they can do to completely counter it when everyone is getting on for the first time at once. Have you played a video game in the last 5 years? When a new game comes out they have to account for millions upon millions at a time and they all have issues on intial release because its just too many users at once.

They # of subcribers has probably doubled or tripled in the last week so if they thought they were ready they couldnt possibly have enough time to do much right before today. If you dont understand how networking works dont comment about it please because these things happen all the time. If this is happening weeks into the season then yes you have a good reason to complain

There's a first time for everything

Edit: And another NHL apologist appears above this post. I've said my piece. Your argument is weak and I'm done debating it

GCL is probably experiencing the most traffic its ever seen. People need to relax. It won't be like this all season.

Anyone know if Shaw (Western Canada) is offering Game Center Live for free if you purchase Center Ice?

The last 2 or 3 years I've ordered center ice and got a free access code for game center live.

The person on the phone didn't know of any such promo this year. Last year was the same until I talked to a different person who eventually emailed me a code.

Thanks.

My question is, there must be a way where you can jump from game to game right? Everytime I switched on the other games it takes me to the preview page first.

Minor complaint.

I ask Shaw if they were offering the free GCL promo code this season and they said they weren't.
