Really, you'd be disappointed with that?

I never, ever, feel like I wasted money attending an NHL game (and I was at the Colorado and Philly games, outscored 14-3). Karlsson is one of the main reasons, so fun to watch him play, so smooth.

Exactly, basically the main reason after a game ends I can't wait til the next one.

1232 points and no admission to the Hall of Fame translates to brutal in his own end. I would be disappointed if Karlsson doesn't develop into a better defender than Phil Housley. Housley was a coach killer which explains why he was traded five times in his career. I expect more from Karlsson.

He is clearly better defensively this year. I don't know if that has to do with EK maturing or that Kuba has been better. I'd venture to say a bit of both. Funny how people in the league are now paying more attention to him as well...other fans on other forums too.

His positioning is better, he's a little stronger, Kuba's been better so there's less running around and easier to keep position. I think one of the keys has been better decision making when he gets the puck in the corner or under pressure behind the goal line. The good decisions are becoming natural. Being atop the points lead for defensemen will garner you a lot of attention. All it means is that as soon as he's anything but flawless defensively he becomes the worst defensive Dmen in the league to an onlooker immediately.

As I keep saying, since that game against Washington, he's been about as solid as any one of our Dmen in their own zone. Give him 3 more years to figure out the consistency thing but so far I'm inclined to think he's taken another step.

He had a pretty poor game in my opinion. He looked like he wasn't used to the small ice surface and was expecting more time than he actually had.

Then he goes out and gets 3 points. Just imagine when he's back at his best.

Gotta agree with you. He looked a little lost for the first two periods, minus looking decent on the pk. But he came back out in the third looking like karlsson again!
