thanks. Odd. All these years were obviously wrong. That 60 extra seconds is a godsend.

Loved the pace and hitting the last few minutes. Tire those Flyers out! Oh, and if Ott or Kaleta don't fight Rinaldo tomorrow, I'd be surprised. #lightweightbattle

I wish Tropp was playing.... his fight with Rinaldo was one of my favorites from last year.

Pierre wrongly thinks a new rule is relevant to a play for the 15th time tonight. That guy is extremely obnoxious.

Pretty weak call on Giroux there.

Bruins broadcast uses a clip of Lucic running Miller in its opening hype video. Classy as always from the Bruins broadcast.

Boyes too. Also, Streit and Strait are a pair, which is quite the mouthful.

I want to like Karlsson (I predicted he would be the best offensive dman in the league during his rookie year) but the fact that he got the Norris is a disgrace. He's below average defensively. Offense should matter, but not that much.

I don't hold it against him and he's a real joy to watch, but that was a joke. They should create an Art Ross-type trophy for defensemen.

Gotta love Yahoo box score errors at the beginning of the season:

Boston leads NYR 1-0 on Milan Lucic's 2nd goal (which he scored three times, once unassisted) and his 1st goal, all scored at 14:14.

Tampa leads Washington 2-1, despite Joel Ward's 2nd goal (scored three times on the PP, assisted all three by Poti and twice by Ribeiro) and his 1st goal (PP), all scored at 8:25.

That was one of those "the goalie never stood a chance" slappers.

Huberdeau also notched his first one in that one, one-timing a pass from point-blank range past Ward. Also, over 19,000 in attendance, aka a sellout, in case people were worried about the Florida markets.

He's really not below average defensively. He's average which is sadly what 90% of NHL defensemen are in today's game. He's not that much worse than Shea Weber defensively, someone who is overrated in that regard around here.

Florida always has great attendance. That's not the issue. The issue is that tickets cost $15. A huge number of their tickets are given away for nothing as promotions. It's a mess.
