So if Leddy could just grow 3 inches, put on 20 pounds, and gain 3 years experience in 1 minute it wouldn't have been an issue. Awesome insight.
But considering he cant, it is.
Doesnt change the fact he was on the ice and while on the ice gave the Kings, who were shooting blanks the entire game, their only opportunites for scoring chances.
Martini says Leddy is the main reason for LA's two goals. Totally wrong. Not even close. Brookbank got beaten in front of the net on the first one. Crawford was screened because Brookbank was beat. Then Clifford pushed him into Crawford on the second goal. Crawford was down and out, and like an idiot, never got up. If Brookbank is stronger near the front of the net, those goals don't happen.

Leddy was over powered both times while trying to get the puck in the corners yet was feeble in his actions. They never become scoring chances if Leddy knew how to play defense.
Theres no free rides in the NHL no matter how well you skate.

It's Leddy's fault that Crawford was badly screened and that he was flopping like a fish on the deck on the second goal after he got pushed into? GTFO.
Shame to see Carbomb getting injured, I like him as the spark plug he can be. Hopefully it's not too serious.
All in all an alright showing by the Hawks. Glad to see that some are already on form, especially Kane and Hossa. Some others might need to get a few games under their belt to get going, specifically the Bolland-Sharp line was rather flat. The PK worked well enough, the PP still not really that impressive, at least they were moving around rather than just standing around. Crawford didn't really get that tested and I wouldn't really solely pin the goals on him.
A clear win is always a great way to start a season and glad the meltdown this place would have been had they lost was averted. I dread the time when that loss comes.

Considering on both goals Leddy was over powered in the corner before the scoring chance materialized?

Neither of those should have been chances.
How is the point shot from Scuderi a scoring chance? There should never always be a threat of the puck hitting the back of the net every point shot. That's absolutely ridiculous.
