Woah, what's going on with Schultz? Joining the rush, and now he just knocked someone over............

Bizarro Schultz is here.

Oates desire for the D to step up is going to lead to some hilarious/bad/hilaribad situations like that, at least while they figure out where their boundaries are. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

See right there. Ovi tries the fancy deke inside. It failed but since he was on the right side it was easier to recover then had he failed coming down the left side.

Be like that time vs. BUF (?) where he got a breakaway coming out of the penalty box. Just took a sheepish fake slapper or something.

The thing that is "broken" is the defense.

Personnel aside, a Capitals defense that collectively played 0 pro hockey this year looks predictably slow.

Well, I guess there is Hillen.

Maybe it's an overreaction, but it feels like 7D is hurting more than helping. Guys flipping between roles (right vs left) is probably too much right now.

I wonder if the 7 man rotation on D is counter productive

Agreed don't like the 7D right now. Please come back Orlov. Would much rather see this eventually.

Alzner-Carlson
Poti-Green
Erskine-Orlov

Defense sucks as usual
Schultz a waste
Holtby thinks he is better then he actually is
Team is slow and lacks a physical presence

Just like the last 5 years
