I'd much rather have PAP than Mueller. I like Mueller but his time with Avs was over.

I hope for nothing but the best for him though.

We would've gotten absolutely nothing for Mueller's rights.

I hope for Mueller's sake that he has a long career, and is successful in Florida. But I agree with the above poster. Letting him walk and signing PAP was the better move IMO.

And it doesn't hurt our team. He never offered us anything. He played great for a month after the trade. Then he didn't help our team at all. We aren't a worse team then last year because we don't have him.

I really hope Mules and Flash have great careers in Florida. It must have been tough for them to deal with the concussion/PE problems.

I don't know man. Him faking the shot a couple of times and hesitating at the point on the PP before eventually giving the puck away really brought back some memories.

He would be by far our 2nd best defenseman.

Only one game but I agree. I was never really impressed with him in the WJ's. Or any of the games I saw. The thing about players that young is that they are almost always playing with worse players. So when they play with better players it gives them more opportunities.

He just got another assist. Looks outstanding.

Carolina Staal's were not ready for Florida speed.

Yet, still good enough for 40pts. He would be far and away the best O dman we have. That 2nd rounder sure looks good tho.

Maybe. We could use his puck moving ability right now but defensively SOB might even be more reliable than Liles.

Yeah, I don't see it. He very well MIGHT play a full 48 game season this year (though I expect more like 25) but I just don't see his string of injuries magically coming to an end. It wasn't ONLY about concussions as we saw last season. He was in and out of the lineup which completely affected the Duchene line, that's mostly what this is about. He WAS unreliable and even when he was in the lineup later in the season, his conditioning was bad because he always looked a step behind and couldn't go longer than 30 seconds shifts. If it had only been the concussion issues and they were truly behind him AND he had at least shown a glimpse of the same chemistry he had before with basically anyone, the Avs would have either kept him I'm sure of that.

The Panthers took a risk and hopefully it pays off for them.

Lol the Hurricanes look horrible. It's nice to see kids like Zac Dalpe and Drayson Bowman get opportunities.

Tlusty is crap...why do they keep trying to force it to work?? lol

Meh. He is still an average at best offensive defenseman. Barrie may very well be better than him this season.

I wish Wilson was given a chance on the PP. He is far and away our smartest defenseman offensively. He makes the best reads and usually the best passes.

I wonder if Mueller's doctors told him that a magical mane would keep his brain safe from being bruised. Interesting experiment. I hope it works. Guess it won't help Pierre Marc Bouchard though.

I know you hate him though, so it's kind of tough for you to be impartial. Liles always has been mediocre at best defensively.
