Looks worse than a sunday skate except for the last minute of the period.
That doesn't mean he shouldn't be playing. We still have a better shot of winning with him.

Yeah well I was maybe setting the bar too high from the start. He's just meh tonight. Was hoping more with his performances in Europe.

If Subban was signed, it'd probably be 1-0 or 2-0 right now. I don't see how he alone could make such a huge difference. Everyone sucks right now.

In any case, I know it's usually not time to panic and we obviously need an adjustment period... but the thing is that in a shortened season like this one we simply don't have time, especially since we're playing a lot of home games against questionable teams in the first quarter of the schedule... Heh. I know, I know... typical early season Habs fan overreaction but it doesn't look good for our chances this year. I can't remember the last time the Habs missed the playoffs twice in a row, but having a brief, boring season would suck considering the situation.

Wow can't watch anymore of this Toronto/Montreal game. Both teams are bad. Montreal needs to tank for a few seasons.

I'm glad we signed Prust. He looks like a solid addition. Bourque has played well. Much much better than any game that he played with us last year. Cole was lousy at the beginning of last year too. He'll get better. Habs D is still soft except for Emelin.

I do miss Subban. He hits too. Subban and Markov on PP 1 then Kaberle and Diaz on PP2 is much better than what we have now.

After seeing the Winnipeg-Ottawa game I see the same pattern unfolding. Home teams feel the pressure and play bad miss passes, make stupid ones and the players are out of position. Every time we go in the end zone we shoot from 20 feet away, we don't dump the puck when we should, the guys are off balance.

Price has been playing great, Emelin too. I think the team is feeling the pressure and guys up front have not been making the right plays, the beginning was not actually bad but then we took two penalties that shifted the momentum.

I can't see the habs having a successful season if they can't overcome adversity and gain a little confidence when things are a little dire. I think having Galchenyuk on the second line might be a mistake he's obviously not experienced enough to start right away but the experience will be good for him although it won't be the fairy tale he hoped it would be.

So let me get this straight... this team, that is performing worst than last years crap team, is suddenly going to turn into what exactly once the cob webs wear off. Oh, and what about all the other teams? Does your theory apply only to Montreal?

In response to Patofqc, Plekanec has looked like Crosby compared to DD.

absolutely, we would have a better chance winning. I guess I should of reworded my thought such as: stop thinking with subban we would be winning, there's no transition in our game because forwards cannot skate (specifically our wingers).

Gionta needs to do something. Frankly, maybe we ought to juggle the first and second lines some.
