- MKG sucked major ass
- The Habs are absolutely terrible. Another bottom 3 finish is in the cards, even if Subban returns quick enough
I agree if there is one team that has a shot at the #1 pick it's Montreal. My god are they bad! absolutely atrocious.

Kessel Lupul Bozak had some good shifts. You can see their timing is just a bit off. Can't wait to see them when they're on the same page. Congrats to Kadri as well.

Can't wait to see him use this brilliant tactic against a good team. Montreal is totally inept.

This was a good win...but it's against the Habs. As bad as we are, they are a whole new low of mess.

Let's hope we bring our best against the Sabres, because that is a tough team to win against for the Leafs.

One thing also struck my eyes. They are (talking) on the bench. It's important to see that happening early on. Exchanging that vocal and keeping it family. Makes a team.

Hope they don't do that against the Pens. But then again I doubt they will be defending the lead.

Game may not have had the flow I'd like to see, but the closeness of the score, the pulling for the new kids and the outcome made it great viewing. More than happy now!! Glad I watched, thankyou Leafs!!!!

I love how Mac gets no credit when they play well, and sucks major ass when he is the only one playing good.

He'll do it alright It's the Randy game book and it'll work for us. Ducks had some similarities to us when they took that cup home. Randy is adapting and sending out a message early on. This is tough to crack.

Agreed. A team like Boston or Pittsburgh probably would have run the Canadiens out of the building tonight. It's okay though, we are pretty young and inexperienced team and we will only get better from here on out.

kulemin is such a disaster offensively, switch him with JVR and let him help out kadri defensively.

I'm glad we played the smurfs first, or this could have turned out bad. The Habs were even worse than in last year's season opener, at least Reimer had to earn his win. Scrivens just basically had to show up at ACC. He looked pretty bad out there.

Grabo is in his usual pre-season form, it seems.

Yeah, he was a couple of steps behind and rushed a couple of plays but I think after 2-3 games they'll be in sync again.

So glad to have the NHL back .

Kadri had a fantastic game, and Komarov is a beaut. Kostka with an impressive first game and Komisarek and Franson looked solid!

Scrivens did the job, but his rebounds and some puck handling didn't keep me too comfortable. I'm sure he was battling some nerves too, so we'll see how he progresses.

JVR was alright, Kessel was very good. Lupul, Grabo, Kulemin were pretty underwhelming. Mac and Mc were good.

For the Habs, Emelin and Price had good games, IMO. I don't know if Galchenyuk is ready yet, but his shot looked pretty good.

Hope Habs don't end up with a top 5 pick though.

Always nice to get a win. Kadri was very good tonight...loved how the Kadri line played as a whole actually. The Kessel line was pretty good but you could tell they were rusty, especially early on. Grabs had an awful night yet Komi was actually pretty good...quite a role reversal there.
