He will trade Nyquist away for Alexander Sulzer.

Detroit finally throws a decent hit and it's not even into a player.

Why is Tootoo in the box? He should've dropped the gloves in the first.

Pretty sure Tootoo got a 10 minute misconduct for passing up the opportunity to be a punk.

I think the Wings waited at least one season too long to face up to the fact that they have gotten old and slow and have always been on the small side, and they have not added much top young talent through the farm system and must do a significant rebuild.

Now the Wings will have to rebuild not because they want to but because they have to.

it would have been enough not get quincey, bert, samuelsson, cleary or tootoo.

i dont think any rokkie in our system would have been worse then these guys.

Some of the things he's done defensively tonight show that he has no idea what he's doing defensively right now. To have him PKing when he's this lost, and when he could actually help the PP a lot more than a stiff like CC, is mismanagement.

Positive of having Colaiacovo on the team: He's so jinxed he might absorb injuries that would have otherwise hit other players.

As for Smith, to be fair, he is being baptized by fire.

Would have been nice if he could have played an entire season with them to learn. But hey i guess he was ripe enough so Holland has to give a 1st rounder for Quicney

Red Wings In Bizarre Hoax.

It is tonight reported that Kyle Quincey and Mikael Samuelsson who Red Wings general manager claimed to have acquired to play hockey in Detroit never actually existed, but instead were two bags filled with old pucks. "It was never my intention to mislead anyone, I befriended a few general managers who abused my trust, I am sorry" Holland said in a statement given to ESPN reporters.

If the team we've seen tonight is the team we're going to see all year, there's nothing on the farm that will save them.

By the way, Nyquist and Tatar and Jarnkrok are all forwards last time I checked. This team's biggest problem is the D. Shuffle the forwards all you want, but it's the D that's killing them tonight.

Gustavsson plays very nonchalantly, looks like he's not taking this too seriously.
