Not fast, not big and not very skilled. Not a good trio.

Oh I'm relaxed. I'm not surprised by what happened tonight at all.

And yes, I saw parts of the LA game. They were facing a quality team too. Toronto is not that.

And Cole and Gionta.

Habs win = everyone is great

Habs lose = we need PK and bad.

He wouldn't have helped us. He isn't some pp wizard. Our pp was horrendous with him. He hasn't play in a long while, too so he would have been off his game.

Have no one go to the net, moment killed, and being called for every little dumb thing did us in.

Habs did it last year and they've started this year. They only seem to want to try for 10 minutes of a game.

Came on to say Emelin is a beast player. I love Kadri but my god that was a great hit. Sloppy game for both teams, but it is just the beginning of a long stretch for each of our teams.

Galchenyuk was fine. If the team could maintain possession in any way, I'm sure he would have made some nice plays out there.

I'm just hoping Pacs and Cole can get back into goal-scoring and rushing-up-the-ice form.

This team will be bad this year, probably next year and the year after. So we wont wait till we have a good team to bring him in.

Man that was terrible. For both teams. Its sad that the two most storied franchises in the league are bottomfeeders.

I miss the rivalry.

You guys need Subban, he makes the games worth watching.

Galchenyuk looks like he has some great potential.

Armstrong looks as bad as he did for us.

Our d was not bad...there's nothing they can do about slow transition and our forwards inability to forecheck. At no point this game was I yelling for them to get the puck out. I noticed a couple times we were over-powered in front of the net but for the first game, pretty good for a group of older d.

Markov, Kaberle, Diaz, Emelin, and boullion (considering time on ice) were playing decent hockey. gorges was poor.

He was too slow to chase players in the D end, he couldn't keep the puck the in offensive zone, we already know that doesn't have a good shot and now he can't even receive a pass.

surprised at the lack of speed and puck control by Montreal... Therrien looks like his old self, I still hate him.

Okay, I'll give you Gionta. Cole, well he needs a head of steam to get going. First few steps suck and he only does something with his speed when he cuts to the inside with the puck. Other than that, he doesn't use it. My point still stands.

Gap between the forwards and the D during the transition was too large this game. Habs forwards played way too much to the outside.

On the pp, when the players finally held possession, the rushed shots on net, there was no cycling.

If the Habs play every game the way they played today, then in the fall we will probably be discussing what we should do with Nathan MacKinnon the same way we are discussing what we should do with Galchenyuk right now.

To be honest, I thought that we would have been able to generate a lot more offence than we did this evening. I was wrong.

Our top-6 forwards were generally horrible. Our bottom six played decently, but they need to finish more checks and get their cycle game going badly.

Also, we need PK, ASAP.

We're in for a long season.
