As bad as the Strome deal was, at least Barrie got Pietrangelo. This is a horrible deal. Don't tell me Howie Campbell is trying to play GM again.

I'm trying to understand it, but maybe I'm trying to understand the incomprehensible.

Howie's always have a love-in with Marty & if indeed this is a "done deal" it proves the point as he's still supplying him with gifts.

Colts website has already announced it, so it's a done deal.
Colts also get a conditional 2nd round pick in 2016 & Icedogs get a 6th round pick in 2015. If the conditional pick is based on where Theoret plays next season, Colts should get that pick as I assume he'll be in Bridgeport.

Nice pick up by Barrie....fairly steep cost though...

Owen Sound trade Jake Dotchin to Barrie for 4 draft picks.

picks are: 2 3rd's 2013, 5th 2014, 4th 2014

Something needs to be done with this penalty kill or the colts won't be going anywhere in the playoffs. The steelheads I think are 3 for 3 tonight after 2 periods and the pk has been in the bottom 3 all year.

Hasn't been good since Hawerchuk arrived. Not sure he's going to figure out the secret to the PK in the next few months.

I noticed that newly aquired Dotchin did not see PK time, would that just be because he is new and getting accustomed to the "style of PK"?

I was quite happy with is game last night and I think he will help the PK. Maybe he can teach the team how to run it since Owen sounds is quite a bit better.

I'll help your memory - since Bud Stefanski.
He's the last coach that was able to get the team to steadily progress throughout the year, and over-achieve original projections of where the Colts would finish in the standings during those years when it was "border-line" on whether they'd make the playoffs, nevermind getting past the first round.

Should be a good game tonight against Kitchener. Hopefully they can get the two points after a loss the the wolves last night.

Scheifele had a decent game today for the Jets but his balance seems off at that level. It should be interesting to see if he stays in Winnipeg.

I would think he probably needs to put up some reasonable points (to justify top 6 minutes) to stick.

Thought I would point out for those who hated the Perlini trade, he had 2 goals tonight and has 3 goals in 5 games with the Ice Dogs.

On a more positive note the colts had a great comeback tonight and Niederberger was outstanding with 58 saves tonight for a 6-3 win. Bit of a bench clearing brawl after the game and according to the scoresheet, Camara left the bench. Is there a suspension for that?

That's what happens when you get to play on a line with Strome and Ritchie.

I thought all the players from both teams left the bench after the final buzzer. It wasn`t only Camara that got involved. The score sheet did not mention any roughing or fighting penalties so why should there be a suspention.

That's what I thought too. It said on the scoresheet he left the bench. The only thing I can think of is that he may have started it and it wasn't shown on tv. If anything Camara was less involved from what I can recall than Dotchin or Webster.

I have not been able to make it to a game since the new arrivals. How have they looked?

What is with Lemieux, two months ago we was the long awaited savior, then no where to be seen. Have not been able to make it to any of their games lately, has he been seeing any ice?

No one said Lemieux was the saviour, for one. He has actually been pretty solid. Let's not forget we are talking about a 16-year-old rookie here. He has shown that he will be a valuable piece for the Colts down the road. He's a pain in the ass for the other team and he can put the puck in the net. This kid will be a top six winger down the road.

Looks like Scheifele won't be in the lineup for the Jets tonight. He has only played just over 8 minutes a game the last two games. I think its possible he might be coming back to Barrie.

Also I found it interesting Garcia was in over Yuill with Webster out of the lineup. Anybody know what's going on there? I can't imagine we are going to sit 2 defenceman every night.

Until he blows up the room....wait for it.
