I agree with Gauthier, execution is key, and booing doesn't help.

Notepad

Bourque: Liked his aggressiveness and speed on the ice, but he's still creating very little chances for himself or his line mates.

Pacioretty, Cole, Gorges, White, Moen, Armstrong: Looked out of shape, not enough speed, not enough confidence. The short training is most likely to blame for most of them, but you know what the team is saying right? No Excuses.

Desharnais: Not a bad, but not a good one either. He just couldn't get a hold of the puck to save his line. Pacioretty & Cole already having bad nights didn't really help either.

Galchenyuk: Looked very nervous to begin the game and then had one 2-3 seconds flash in control of the puck which seemed to gave him some confidence. I don't think he'll make it past game #5 though, too much risks in a 48 games season imho.

I have to admit I didn't pay attention to much of the defense watching this game. It was quite horrible in the first period and that's with whoever had the ice time. Emelin however looked like he picked up where he left off last season, which is good news.

yes some players need to get into better shape.
but wow, not many tape to tape passing tonight, timing is way off, passes in the feet all night. Toronto did not look great tonight either.
This is a game that looked like a preseason game. The next game wont look much better either. It take about 10 games to get your timing back.

Every team is in the same boat boys.

It's all about overcoming adversity.

Problem is the team has half the time to overcome adversity, and they aren't very good on paper to begin with.

True, but they look slow because they weren't really moving at all... Anyone.

It was a pretty terrible game. The leafs were alright, or better for most of the game. Except for the last 10 minutes of the game. If this game were vice versa and the habs were a better team for about 50 minutes of it, the last 10 minutes the habs would have lost the game.

Hopefully this year they learn to play more consistent and learn to hold leads.

Bouillon has a great attitude. You can tell this team has great leadership. Mentality is huge.

Why not? When you remove your best D, every other guy out there will have bigger roles to fill. So to add that Bouillon will have a big role to play means "He probably wasn't suppose to but since my GM wants to show who's boss, he will then play a big role....".

Leaf fans are probably feeling pretty good about tonight's win even if it was against our lowly team. Honestly I wouldn't even mind if the Leafs sneaked in as the 8th playoff seed this year. They'd probably get swept in the 1st round and it keeps them from a top 5 pick plus even I'm missing seeing them in the playoffs now.

I was there, section 107.

The Habs were really pumped to get out the gate. Then started taking stupid dumb penalties taking away all their momentum.

Kaberle was pretty awful. No one could make a pass or take a pass. Couldn't gain the zone either.

Habs were muscled off the puck a lot too.

Bouillon played a ton, for some reason. But whatever. **** happens.

We understand that it might take some time to "gel". But you can't afford too long because there's just not enough games.

It'll take a lot of work for Therrien to get rid of all the terrible habits Cunneyworth and co. instilled in this team.

Oh. And the PP woes continue...

Hardest thing to get back after a long layoff is the quick passing game we dominate at, so I'm not going to panic yet. I saw some good stuff, potential is still there. Subban needs to get resigned, our D really missed him on both ends of the ice.

Oh god no. Just... no!!! If Bouillon even comes close to averaging 20 mins/night with us this season, it's going to be a disaster. Sorry, and even bigger disaster than expected.
