Hate to say it... but our lineup looks so weak without O'Reilly. So many name you dont want to see there...
And also, Duchene and Landeskog just doesnt seem to find chemistry. Couldnt last year either when they tried em out.
Unless I'm mistaken, Landeskog was paired with O'Reilly early on in training camp and never really left that line. I don't recall Landeskog being tried out with Duchene

I think they was for like 3-4 games. My mistake if I'm wrong.
The Wild were a bit lucky but we probably deserved to lose.
I think the Wild, once they gel a bit more, will be the team to beat in the division.
We look a lot like before; show signs of being a really good team... only to follow it up with lazy play and foolish mistakes.
The Avs were unlucky tonight, but you also got that gut feeling the wheels would come off once they gave up those 2 quick goals. GOTTA SCORE EMPTY NET GOALS.
If Sacco wants a faster defenseman who can create some offense, might as well give Hunwick a shot.
It's only the first game of the season but Barrie looks like the same guy from last season.
He's still only a 21 year old kid playing a difficult position. He's looking alright but some plays leave you scratching your head though.

And I agree, this game shows we need RoR on this team. But, we knew that already.
Yes, clearly we need Paul Martin at $5M and Matt Carle at $5.5M...they will make the difference.
EVERYONE agreed we had a hole in the #2 spot and essentially the #3 spot on our defense. The first game comes and our guys get exposed...is anyone really surprised??
Our FO will address those holes when the opportunity arises but throwing a bunch of money at UFAs is not the answer.
We may be bad enough to miss the playoffs, but I doubt we are in the running for Mackinnon or Jones, even with the revised lottery weighting.
That's the problem with this team. We're too good for the lottery, but not good enough to be a perennial playoff team. We got Duchene and Landy, we need one more.
Either way, EDM will end up in 9th place, and will win the lottery again anyways.
