Actually, no. It's a 48 game seasonal there aren't any games to spare, the west is expected to be very competitive, we have elite offensive players nearing the end of their prime, and we have an elite goalie sitting on the bench.

Schneider better getting going and fast, otherwise Luongo will take the crease and not look back.

Christ, I'm already sick of listening to the media talk about the Vancouver's goaltending situation.

I think all the debate aside, I think we can all agree...

Ebbett needs to get the boot.

No way Luongo should start tomorrow. Throw Schneider back in the fire.

We aren't actually, missing a couple important pieces up front.

I dont know where you get off saying they suck.
have you been drinking that kool aid that edmonton fans keep serving up? they always say they will be better the next year (ever since that playoff run), and without fail they always lay the goose egg.

It should be smoother than this. Cory is supposed to have a good head on his shoulders. The first game he has as the number 1 and he pulls this stunt? He should have at least beasted until lu was traded. Even if his team sucked Cory needed to steal this game and silence them for his own good and for luongos.

I wonder how Friedman would do as a colour guy? The studio discussions would be unbearably stupid with him swapped with Hrudey, but I'd like to hear him in a game.

Two periods into the season and Ron Maclean is already proclaiming Vancouver won't make the playoffs. Shut the **** up Ron.

We'll give that a few games first before we make the yearly thread.

I agree.

I think Luongo should be the #1 but let Schneider back in there and see how he handles it.

I could back AV if just one time in his life he would get all up in a refs ear, make some noise, show some emotion. All he does is chew his gum and stare at the sky when we get shafted on a call or something, like he's waiting for karma to right all the wrongs against us.

If he keeps rolling over, nothing's ever going to change. I hate the Hawks, but a guy like Coach Q shows intensity and passion. Tortorella too. We need some of that.

The best analyst there and the one guy who probably can't skate. (I don't mind Healy either. Weekes is boring and PJ should just stick to coloring pictures in his coloring book and not bother interjecting).

It would have been Luongo's start if Cory could have made it through tonight.

Since he couldn't, they absolutely have to go back to Cory tomorrow.

except he let in 5 goals in a whole game. Schneider let in 5 not even halfway through a game.

I think right now Scheider is putting way to much pressure on himself. Makes Luongo really "pressure free", everyone is looking at Scheider's every performance.

THat is going to be a huge game. A very potent oilers offense. Schneider better be locked in or itis going to get really ugly after tomorrows game.

Everyone who saw the scrimmages knew this was coming. Vignault has failed to produce a ready team, again. Perhaps the team might grow a sense of urgency now that they've been reminded what gameplay is like.

Ebbett is an AHL player. Why is he centering the second line? Did Gillis drop the ball?

Same with roberto, he has slow starts, and 1 goal on 3 shots, not much better so far.
