Only one game but .666 and .642 is funny for at least one day.

I can't believe Gillis gave up Hodgson for Kassian.

I am glad he's gone from the sabres because I can't stand Kassian. A lot of reasons.

Gillis has done nothing in Vancouver at all to put them over and win the Cup.
All he's done is re-sign players acquired by Burke/Nonis.
Hodgson for a 4th liner is one of the stupidest mistakes ever. Don't you think Vancouver could use a Hodgson right now, considering 2/3rds of their 2nd line is missing?
No wonder they want teams to overpay for Luongo. It's because Gillis has messed up and wants a home run swing to fix everything.

I love Cody, if he was traded I was told by someone who knew him, he would have loved to be a Leaf, too bad it was Buffalo and not us.
Cody and Vancouver was never a fit, especially when he had the injury, some bad feelings there.

Wonder if we can nab him. Would be nice if he shows he can work with underhill to get his skating in place for the bigs.

Defense did absolutely nothing on that play, though. You can't give Selanne those type of chances.

If Gillis still had Hodson we would have traded for him and Luongo by now.

Yes and he was pissed about that. The injury that is. I worked with a former coach who still keeps in touch.

Cody was so mad, he apparently considered suing The Canucks. Allegedly I was told. Did you hear this?

Gillis is a gigantic ******. The way he called out Hodgson after trading him was nothing short of classless either.
Honestly, if there's one GM who I severely dislike in this league, it's that toolbag.

i'm sure you can trade Luongo to a salary floor team in 5-6 years... it would help them reach the floor without paying all that money... plus if he retires they dont pay him and it's on their cap... Win-Win for both lol

Man I'm hoping the Oilers lay a beating on the Canucks too...and with the forwards they have, I wouldn't put it past them.

I sure hope they do. I have Hall-RNH-Eberle on my pool. It'd be amazing to see them destroy the Canucks again.

Exactly. Just the way this guy has fooled everyone into thinking he's a good GM when he's really not is irritating. The worst part is the fans who constantly pump this guy's tires for re-signing Burke and Nonis' acquisitions and bringing in a sleep doctor. Big deal.

Yup. Well, he inherited a team built by Burke and Nonis, period. It was Luongo, Kesler and the Sedins that took them to the finals two years ago - none of which he acquired. Yet their fans go on about him like he's some God...

The commentators were talking about their goalie situation a lot tonight so I'm betting he will blame them.

No. Just that he wasn't happy. BUt when you go and get your own trainer somehtings up. So it's not like some big secret. When my buddy inquired about the situation he was told "Don't ask." but he said the message was clear, the family was not impressed.
I kept trying to get him to convince Stamkos to come sign in Toronto, but that didn't work.
As a coach you could do worse than have Hodgson, Stamkos, and Doughty as the three kids you coached that "made it".

The Canucks had a bad game tonight. It happens. They have too much talent to stay down for long, however, IMO.
But Gillis is a bit of a ##%^<^<. That's true.

Considering how the Canucks' defence played tonight I am thinking we could get Luongo for Komi straight up
