A trio is 3 so the poll is asking you to pick 3 russians

this is pretty funny since he was born in Wisconsin and was developed in the US

From the age of 15 on he has been stateside.

Of all the message boards I peruse I can say with certainty that there isn't a group with less awareness of sarcasm than then people who post here.

I'd say it's a Russia/US joint operation in his development, can't ignore that he played in Russia during the majority of his hockey playing. However, of course he is a US player..he played for the US team and looked pretty happy to be winning the gold for them.

Sorry but unless there is a smilie attached all too often people really don't bother with facts.

It's up to the conveyer of sarcasm to make sure it hit the mark.

This is my opinion, it has no grounds in facts, but for some reason I cannot help but feel Yak will be back in Russia in a couple years. Leaving Grig to have a better season.

Really? I think Yakupov is the least likely to go back to Russia from the list IMO.

The type of Russians that go back to the KHL are usually quiet, introverted, have family in Russia, etc.

Yakupov is very charismatic, similar to Ovechkin, and just moved his family to Edmonton. It already seems like he's meshing well with Nuge, Ebs, Hallsy, and Schultz and has a bit of a bond going with them (at least it looks like it through Twitter). I just can't see him packing his bags and leaving, especially since that bond will only get stronger over the years. But then again, I'm not Yakupov, and you could be bang on.

For Edmonton's sake I hope I am wrong. I do not like it when top talent players leave the NHL.
I just get the impression he likes to be at the centre of attention, at least this is how it felt at the draft. With being on the second line, surrounded by other young superstars and being in a cap league, the temptation of being like Radulov might prove tempting.

Big fish / small pond thing.

Like I said I hope I am wrong, just this feeling I have.

"Which trio of Russians"? You are only voting for one player, not a trio.
