MIke Gillis needs to apologize for his lame apology speech. The dude is a prententious wind bag.

Weise was hustling, but he really has no patience with the puck. Every play was a weak shot from the blueline.

Well let me tell you this, game SEVEN of the SC final was just "one game".

PUT UP.

OR SHUT UP.

I agree that alot of posters make to many excuses for the team, but your the exact opposite end of the spectrum, yes its a 48 game season, but put up or shut up with 47 games left?

Lets wait at least for a few weeks before that.

Things could be worse...........watching Midnight Express now. Turkish prisons circa 1972 - that's worse than this.

Send a message via ICQ to Biggest Canuck Fan
BTW, let's give the Ducks some credit here, full value for the win, and a probably much needed wake up call for AV, GMMG and the team.

Hate that drop pass. I wanted them to get rid of it yesterday. Drop pass, goal-tending, and the players are who's to blame tonight. We're going down 0-2 this weekend. The Canucks can't be their magical self in one night after being horrible on the first game of the year.

The one thing about Kassian is that he has literally zero chemistry with Ebbett. They just don't mesh together one bit, didn't in the AHL either (except on the PP).

I think having Schroeder on that line would improve the play of both Raymond and Kassian.

LOL, what a way to start the season. Thank god we have a game tomorrow and can quickly put this behind us.

I think we'll get rolling in no time, but wow. Tonight was just... hahahaha. Can't stop laughing. Oh well.

"Put up or shut up" is an odd saying when you really think about it. You're literally giving the team the option of being utterly terrible as long as they don't talk big.

Now I don't want to overreact to this game...but if our terrible defensive play tonight leads to us firing Bonus...I'm good.

If AV defends him, send him too - note, I have actually wanted a new coaching staff since the SCF we were in so this is not reactionary.

Oh well, here's hoping they sort of found their legs (and brains) throughout this game and are better prepared to put in a much better effort tomorrow.

Glad Healy calls that lapierre penalty what it was, not goalie interference.

It's not the worst thing, he's a 4th liner and he doesn't have the linemates to get super creative. Put the puck on net and good things could happen. Seemed to work for Samuelsson.

I don't see how freaking out is supposed to be a positive. Everyone knows they played poorly tonight, even the players. They'll make some adjustments and play better tomorrow.

Nope. Lack of preparation it's going to take a few more games.

This is what I'm pissed about. THIS IS THE SAME TEAM THAT LOST TO THE KINGS IN THE FIRST ROUND LAST YEAR.

There's just no offense when the Sedins are not there... Gillis had done nothing to improve this team. We may have gained Garrison, but IMO the lost of Salo negates this.

If it didn't work last year (our offense line) what makes us think it will work this year? Were not here for a president throphy were here for the cup.

If this is the effort they give us after the lockout than I don't know how this team is ever going to take accountability and show some decent effort..
The Mike Gillis apology speech was just pathetic.
