I'm concerned whether he'll still have it 2 years down the road. A compromise would be 1yr guaranteed + 1 yr club option.
They should just wait until the summer and then both the team and the player can look where they are at and make a decision then.
As long as Jagr is productive, even if it's at 5 minutes a night + PP time, I'd like to have him around. If it gets to the point where he doesn't feel he's a top line forward anymore he'll probably retire though.
