Who scores the first goal of the season?

Prediction time.. just for fun try to guess who scores the Oilers first of the year.

I'm gonna say Hemsky gets it.

Yakupov starts it off with his slapper from Hemmer on the PP. Then taunts the Nucks as he skates by, propelling the hockey world to label him as the most classless player in the NHL.

Sam Gagner scores the seasons first and last goals, the first one comes on a perfectly played give and go with Nail with Nail sacrificing the shot for the perfect feed crossice from the right circle and Sammy onetiming a redirection into an open net-clean as a whistle. After the goal Sam has a nice celebration of the proper degree and respect level instantly setting the bar for Yakupov and Yakupov proves on his first shift how unselfish and creative a player he is to all his new Edmonton fans,a glimpse of the greatness to come.

I'd love to have the most classless player in the NHL according to Nucks and Flames fans.

Our last truly classless player isn't even in the league anymore so we definitely need a refill in that category.

As for the q... I chose Hartikainen in the other "firsts" thread (before I even knew he'd make the team for sure. ) so I'll stick with him and look smart if he actually does it.

I'm going old school... Smytty is sporting the mullet and getting one to bounce off his shins.
