Lol, that was a pretty brutal game in all respects. Lets see if this is just a "phase."

Agree to disagree then. Was at the game and he stood out. Showed some good vision, a good shot, was positionally sound (as usual) and was the only Habs forward who could win a battle in the offensive zone and maintain puck possession. Maybe my standards were lowered with how terrible the majority of our forwards were tonight, but I got what I expected from Eller.

Unsportmanlike conduct. Look it up. It was the right call.

Despite the horrible game, Markov looked good.

No worries, Therrien can fail this year, as the team is bad. If he fails next year or the year after he is gone, and the Habs will find the best coach available, hopefully french, or at least bilingual, but maybe neither.

Say goodbye to this Era, if Therrien fails. If Therrien is bad next year, this is the last time language will trump ability. If Therrien is a mistake, Habs can't afford to make such a mistake again.

The owners are right after all...

The players make way too much money.

These guys did not look like they are worth millions a year.

At least not last night.

Actually, we were lucky to play against the Leafs as opener!

Reality check: Sad but Chucky would prolly needs more than five games to figure it out (remembers me a lot of Lafleur in his first games). I'm afraid his 6th next will be in Sarnia. Too bad cause his game is so much better than what he showed tonite....

They're all coaching in the NHL because Biovin's Habs did not have the balls to hire one of them 3 years ago, scared of ******* in the media who never played a game in their life, and forget the Scotty Bowman was english, and yes, happily, fully bilingual.

Molson had his lesson, all Habs coaches will need to be able to express themselves in french. Its part of the job description.

Pat Quinn sucked ass? Okay...

Carlyle is the first Leaf Coach to win a Stanley Cup before coming to Toronto, I always found that interesting. He's also 40x the coach Therrien is...

I expected the Leafs to beat the Habs tonight, because without Subban that Defence is a sad sight. Subban is an excellent ALL tool dman, he's a huge loss out of any line-up.

Price made the game more 'interesting' than it should have been, could have easily been 5-0 leafs after 2 periods. Price is good enough to steal games on his own, the kid is special.

So even with that "sad" defence you beat us by 1 goal and only scored on powerplays. What does that say about your team?

The leafs won but odds are good you will be right there beside us fighting for Seth Jones

How sure are you that this actually happened?

Because MAB averaged less ES time on ice than anyone that played D for the Habs that year except Belle. Carlet and Weber had more when called up. Martin obviously only tolerated MAB to put him in offensive situations.

If he ever got near 20 it was probably forced by injuries or the team got a whack load of PP time when anyone sensible would want him out on the ice.

This does not resemble how Cube was used tonight, Therrien deployed him like he was Roman Hamrlik.

I will admit it, last year and this year you are much better then us, you should finish a couple spots in front of us. Yeah maybe 11 or 12th in the conference. Were are ok with that, well take the better draft position...

I tought he coached a good game, we have a suck ass defence without or even with Subban. He used what he has at his disposition.

Your team sucking is also a likely factor.

If there is one group of fans that should not criticise what other organisation do, its Leafs fans. Their team his the joke of the NHL and has been for almost 50 years.

We will always make the same mistake. We've been making this same mistake for over 20 years, and in this case we brought back a previous mistake. We've only had one competent coach since 1995 and we fired him last season because we had an incompetent GM trying to save his job.

Shouldn't that make them more able to criticize others, then?
