Yeah, I was a walk-on. There was one spot left because one of your invites declined so I went for it. My first goalie as Parent, I had Marcel Dionne. We met in round 1.

Purely recreational, since I think 2008 we've had a consistent group of guys who have interest in the NHL draft. 30 posters for 30 teams, and 7 rounds. It's not really to compare at all because the mock draft usually takes place 2-3 months before the NHL Draft. So it is fun for people who have any possible insight on the upcoming draft class, I can link you this years version when I am not on my phone.

I first really noticed the ATD when GMs started getting catty during the top-60 defensemen project. That made me wary of getting involved, but I was interested enough in the research side to accept an invite for this year's MLD.

pitseleh, pappyline and papershoes were in the first ever Double-A draft (AA8) as well as a few others, plus a few main drafts, at least 7-8 each. spitfire11, BM67, JFF and Evil definitely were in ten in all, were minor league troopers as well as main draft participants, DEFINITELY 10 or more. I miss those guys. MXD, shawnmullin and wisent might have been in only a half dozen or so. Sturminator I'm not sure... but I can think of three in which he had an impact, but he wasn't a minor league pioneer so maybe not ten for him.

As far as LF is concerned the only draft is the ATD, which is part of why I was questioning his benchmark of 10.

It's not the size of the glue, it's the stickiness of it.

Lurked for most of ATD11, decided to give it a go in ATD12. My first team was awful.

Edit: Wow is this already my 5th draft? Time flies.

I got into an ATD on another board which included Transplanted Caper. Some mention was made of the HFboards version of the ATD being the major leagues, and though I otherwise wanted nothing much more to do with this site, I decided to check out the ATD.

Think I was involved in six drafts, total, as an active GM. Had a good run through my first four drafts, and tried to get cute a bit there at the end.

How many of us from the Leafs board are semi-regularly active here?

I know Dreak, 70s are pillars here, I didn't realize that Dwight was actually Zaditton/T-Kabs until 30 seconds ago (hi!), I've seen LeafsForever and Jarek around, is that it?

I did a board search for "all time rankings" or something like that and came across MLD6:

1 kruezer - Salmon Arm Silverbacks - Sidney Crosby
2 Hockey Outsider - Montreal Wanderers - Marty Barry
3 raleh - Springfield Indians - Daniel Alfredsson
4 pitseleh - Cowichan Valley Capitals - Eddie Gerard
5 The Lone Elvi - Vancouver Canucks - Cliff Ronning
6 God Bless Canada - Estevan Bruins - Charlie Simmer
7 Evil Speaker - Boston Cubs - Dany Heatley
8 Nalyd Psycho - Rat Portage Thistles - Frank Foyston
9 shawnmullin - Owen Sound Greys - Jason Spezza
10 BM67 - Renfrew Creamery Kings - Marian Hossa

... and I was so confused about what this list was, who these teams were that I HAD to investigate further.
