Losing a fourth liner didn't really burn us at the time...but it really sucks now that he's become a top six player, ha ha.

Zdeno Chara for the Bruins. Great pickup, no way they win the 2011 cup without him.

On the team right now?

I'd have to say Zubrus, although I'm not sure if Clarkson being unsigned counts....

From the Montreal Canadiens, I'd say Brian Gionta.

Not having him had proof of being costy last year.

Notable mention to Michael sniper Cammalleri and Hal the octopus Gil.

Pre-Parise/Suter, I'd probably say Havlat, but its definitely Parise/Suter

Pens don't have many UFA's to choose from...

Kunitz (trade) Crosby (draft) Dupuis (trade)
Tangradi (trade) Malkin (draft) Neal (trade)
Cooke (UFA) Sutter (trade) Kennedy (draft)
Glass (UFA) Jeffrey (draft) Adams (waivers)
Vitale (draft)

Niskanen (trade) Letang (draft)
Orpik (draft) Martin (UFA)
Despres (draft) Engelland (UFA)
Bortuzzo (draft)
Lovejoy (UDFA)

Fleury (draft)
Vokoun (UFA)

Glass - Too early to tell.
Martin - Been a disappointment but not a bad player.
Vokoun - Too early to tell.
Engelland - He was originally signed to a two-way deal after he left the Devils. He's developed into a solid bottom pairing guy / enforcer.
Cooke - I think I might pick him almost by default given the alternatives. I'm not a fan of his occasional thuggery but he seems changed and has been a steady contributor since being signed.

From this off-season, even if he doesn't stick in the NHL this year, Kostka has looked very smart for the Leafs. GREAT addition to the the farm in the very very least.

Not sure how anyone can say that after only one game. Obviously, they're both great players, but there's still a chance they don't mesh with the coach/other players/fail to live up to expectations/etc.

In recent memory, it's definitely Ehrhoff for Buffalo. People think he did poorly last year because of his numbers, but he played quite well defensively while facing a considerably higher QoC than in Vancouver. I also thought he and Vanek looked like they were developing good chemistry toward the end of last season, which should improve Buffalo's PP if it continues.

Maxim Afinogenov was a great signing. Not sure why we let him go after one year. Johan Hedberg played better than Lehtonen and Pavelec at times.

Blues don't make many bad ones, but without getting into the Blues system, look at Brian Elliot's contract for last year, then look at his numbers.

I think Scott Nichol is a solid energy player too, for what that's worth

Besides PAP the last one I can think of is Ryan Smyth. Maybe forgetting someone though.

I think you'll be quite happy with the Latendresse signing by the end of this season.

On the current habs roster, I'd have to say Desharnais or Cole.
