Hilariously overreact to opening night
My god, the Wings are awful! Trade Datsyuk and Zetterberg for picks! Send Howard to Siberia! death for Seth!(well, his name doesn't rhyme with tank or fail)
And don't get me started on the Caps! Trade Ovechkin to Toronto before they figure out he isn't good! Trade Forsberg, Holtby and this years second to Colorado for Varlamov back! Send Kuznetsov a tear stained letter asking if he can make it over now!

Are you trying to tell me Jagr won't win the Art Ross and Rocket, Blues won't go 48-0 and Erik Karlsson won't win the Norris with 144 points?

It happens every year. People need to give it at least 10 games before we really see how teams are.

And don't forget that in 1995's shortened season, the Devils only won 2 of their first 8 games.

On the leafs board I asked "so who would you compare Kostka too?" just out of curiosity of playing style, get told I am WAY over-reacting to Kostka and then they go and make a bloody appreciation thread about him

It's a "discussion thread" about a new player, I don't think that's an overreaction, especially since most people on the thread expressed doubt he would keep the play up and several thought he'd be sent back down at some point.

I think some people are overreacting to the "overreactions".

Wrong. The Kings were the champs last year. The Hawks beat the Kings. Therefore. the Chicago Blackhawks are the true 2013 Stanley Cup Champions.
