One of them is HC in TB
I could name the Cubs starting line up when I was 2. That doesn't mean I remember the effect an obscure position coach had on the Bears during his 1 year here 15 years ago. Again, you're full of it.

The Bears were inept under Cavanaugh outside of Kramer who was never healthy

Not sure what is so shocking ,, They were one of the worst offenses in league in both 97 and 98 when he was here and his work developing Mark Sanchez in NY should speak volumes about his continued suck in NFL

Not to mention he reunited with Wannstedt at Pitt ,, He was terrible there as well

The Bears were 15th in passing offense in 97-98. 19th in 96-97 (before him). In 96, San Fran was 7th in passing offense.

Passing Yds are not a proper judgement of passing attack

97 = 14 TD passes (5th worst in NFL) / 22 INT's (6th most in NFL)
98 = 16 TD passes (8th worst in NFL) / 13 INT's (5th least in NFL)

Literally no one judges passing offense like that.

Sometimes ints happen becuase the wr screws up, not the qb.

Actually the team threw about 100 less passes

And once Stenstrom was in games the team didn't throw ball much since he was so terrible (4 TD's and 6 INT's in 7 starts)

sanchez has also had a ton of TO's his whole career.

though its probably not fair to judge anyone based on sanchez since he is a terrible football player.

Not sure why anyone is worried who the QB coach is anyone. Its not like bates made a lick of difference this year.

Its just the fact we are bringing back a failed Wanny coach who has history of failure at NFL level that bothers me

Our OC is basically a QB coach, trestman was a qb coach. The ACTUAL qb coach is probably just the patsy he hired to run errands for him.

Besides, after the nepotism of the lovie era, I think I can let one relatively minor assistant coach slide.

Yes I understand Trestman will have part in development but he is also HC and has entire team to deal with

Having an absolute bum like Cavanaugh helping is major issue

Depending on what he actually does maybe. I'll defer to trestman's judgement on this one. maybe he just wanted a guy he knew would deliver his message for him. Or maybe he was just looking for a guy to keep cutler in line.

I'm goint with SF over ATL and this will be another great choke job of Ryan/Falcons.

Ravens will go to the SB too. I hate NE and want to see Lewis in the SB again - losing it

I think SF and NE win today

Want Baltimore to win but think Pats offense will do well vs Ravens D which isn't as good as it used to be

Ravens?

I think it will be SF/NE. I'd like to see both underdogs win though today. Falcons/Ravens is the superbowl I wanna see.

It's going to be Pats over Niners in the bowl. Could've seen this one coming since the Bears went downhill.

I'm expecting Atlanta and New England to win, but I'm pulling for the opposite to happen.
