I think until the UFA market opens (Likely Saturday or Sunday), we'll be getting a lot of these "So-and-so interested in so-and-so" followed swiftly by "so-and-so says no interest/discussions". On one hand, lots of times it's just beat writers speculating, and other times it's because no GM wants to incur wrath of NHL and make it look like they're doing business when they're forbidden to do so, though I expect there is a ton of "informal" chatting going on with agents right now.

Pretty sure it hasn't been mentioned, but PL3 appears to have signed with the Ducks. He was on a tryout. He is listed on the Ducks' roster and is on waivers today according to McKenzie.
The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with forward Jason Jaffray on a new contract. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
He had been playing in St. John's on an AHL contract and now must clear waivers to continue playing down there since he is Jets property once more. I'm sure he'll be waived this week.
Per capgeek, San Jose has re-signed James Sheppard for one year 2-way deal at $825,000 which makes sense as he seems to have pretty much made the Sharks opening day lineup.

With the exception of Jamie Benn, Ryan O'Reilly and PK Subban only two players are still RFA, Brett MacLean (who retired last summer) and Tim Kennedy, anyone know what happened to Kennedy ?

Good for them. They really needed to add a scorer.
While Hall, Eberle, Schultz, RNH, MSP and Hartikainen were in OKC, the team scored 115 goals in 35 games (3.3 per game). Since they are gone, OKC has only scored 7 goals in his last 5 games.
The only decent offensive threat left was Arcobello who has 10 goals and 32 points (his production was inflated by his former linemates). The rest of the players have 4 goals or less and 10 points or less.

I haven't heard anything about anyone being interested in him. I posted earlier that he was working out with Winnipeg's AHL team, but I'm guessing he's waiting for someone to suffer an injury.

It's too bad for him. I thought he was all but locked for a contract somewhere. Really banked on him in New Jersey again this year but after Matteau was given #15 I knew it wasn't a good sign for Sykora.
